The Dallas Cowboys will activate defensive tackle Josh Brent to the 53-man roster Tuesday according to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
The move comes nearly two years after the drunk driving incident that killed Brent's college and NFL teammate Jerry Brown. Brent has been back with the Cowboys since completing his sentence for intoxication manslaughter. The organization has been supportive of Brent throughout the ordeal and Brown's family has also advocated for Brent to receive a second chance. The Cowboys have made it clear that Brent remains a part of their future plans, extending his contract for an additional year through the 2015 season.
