The Niners roster looked lame too, but they are winning. I get tired of people just blaming the players because iwth proper motivation and coaching this team could be so much more.

I've never been so apathetic as a fan since I became one. I was gung ho about driving to Dallas (180 miles) and seeing a game. Now I'd rather do something else. The life has been sucked out of me. I hope the same thing has happened to a lot of people too. It's the only way Jerry will learn.

I find it funny how so many people think Garrett is going to bring in this great mind to help the running game...whether it's Sporano or Chryst or whomever.

He's shown numerous times he has no interest in running the ball or fixing it. He wants pass blocking linemen who move well in space and to play Romo in Shotgun.

An 8-8 season and an unhappy owner may be enough to motivate Garrett to think differently.

I agree he has no interest in hiring an OC. I'd love to have Norv in here in that role, but since Garrett has been and is the acting OC, I can't see him wanting to relinquish that position. The only way I can us hiring an OC is if Jerry forces one on Garrett, which in that case would take us back to the same ol way of Jerry doing business ala the Campo and Wade years.

I'd be more inclined to think we would replace Houck as OL coach. But for the same reasons you mentioned I don't think Garrett is going to want to bring in an OL coach who has an emphasis on the running game. So barring another Jerry power-play I'd be surprised to see Sparano here next year either.

There is a difference between an owner telling a coach he needs to bring in an Offensive Coordinator (has happened in the NFL) and an owner telling a Head Coach "Here is your new Offensive Coordinator."

I don't think so. He's been called a genius too long and been told he's in the "family portrait". He knows he has more than a few years to make it work and I think he's stubborn enough to try and prove his way works.

I think the fact that they have accumulated a lot of 1st round picks who have been playing together for a couple/few years, has more to do with that.

I don't believe that Jim Harbaugh is a genius coach.

That happened here, after the 99 season. Jones wanted Gailey to stay as HC but hire a new offensive coordinator. Gailey refused and got canned.

Make shit up much? Exaggerate much?

I think he'd love to run the ball more, but you have to have success doing it to keep doing it. If you are constantly getting thrown for losses or barely manage to gain a yard, its hard to stick with it.

Up until this year, Romo has been the best player on the offense. Any good offensive coordinator is going to emphasize a team's strengths, and its obvious that Romo, TO (when he was here) Witten, Miles Austin were the strengths of the team. The OL was better at pass protection than run blocking.

I bet you complained when they ran the ball 3 straight plays at the end of the New England game too, didnt you?

Outside of the Raiders this is the most dysfunctional team in the NFL without a doubt.

Uhh no.

The redskins are the most dysfunctional of them all. Cincy and oak at right there with them
