Ok, that was ~ 3 years ago. Why did the Ain'ts let him go IF he is still playing at that level?

Because Rob Ryan is a cornerback killer.

IIRC the narrative was he had a good rookie year but then the Saints hired Rob and Corey wasn't the right corner for Robs schemes.

Sounds familiar doesn't it? Claiborne and Carr just for Robb, he ruins them, gets fire. Ain'ts draft this guy, Rob has no idea what to do with a Corner, ruins him they cut the kid and Marinelli will do wonders with him.

But Marinelli hasn't done wonders for Carr or Claiborne.

Yep. And I don't blame Marinelli for that.

Here's the thing... the consensus is that if the pass rush gets going, that should help the CBs. We'll see either way. I have no faith in either Carr or Claiborne. Scandrick is our best CB. I like the Patmon kid, and this Corey White to me seems no worse than Carr, but certainly better than Claiborne.

Truth of the matter, I would feel better about this secondary if Jones were moved to FS and Wilcox to SS. Keep Carr if you must, have Scandrick man the slot as usual, and the other CB of White/Patmon.
