IM not saying that Felix is bad. Im saying he's not really any better than choice to just deserve to be handed the starting spot. Open the spot up and let the best guy start is what im saying.

How do you know the spot hasn't been opened up?

Last I checked, Tashard Choice was pretty awful when he played last year. And that's without taking away any good plays.

Maybe this coaching staff sees Felix routinely out perform Choice in practice and they don't need to see it in a game.

Cowboy fans should wonder why ????

Why hasn't Choice been given a chance ?

He definitely deserved more carries after MBIII was benched. It's almost like the Dallas brass doesn't want him to succeed as weird as that sounds.

Choice can't be worse than Gronkowski in blitz pickup and he's our FB.:Suicide

Yeah. Don't do that. You can't take away the plays you don't want and keep the ones you do. You have to take the entire body of work.

If you take away all of Dez Bryant's big plays last year he's a pretty ordinary looking rookie.

Any back in the league would have a plethora of 1 and 2 yard runs behind this line.

Sure.
You really only have to look at a guy like Barry Sanders to see this, also.

Ill put it to u this way. Has felix had any stretch during his career(which is the same as choice) as choice had in 08 their rookie yr? And it hasnt been opened up. Last yr in training camp it was said from the start Barber was the starter and Jones was the change of pace. Its never been open

That three game stretch or whatever it was that Choice had is way overblown. I'd guess without looking it up that Felix had similar short stretches like that in the back half of the 2009 season. I know he sliced and diced the Eagles twice to end the year and win the first playoff game.

Defenses didn't respect Choice and his numbers weren't all that anyway. He's a decent player. Jack of all trades, master of none. I wouldn't hate to see him start a game, but it better be because your more talented RB is injured.

Who from the team said that was our depth chart going into training camp? I must have missed that. And if it wasn't open, why did Felix then overtake Barber and take the bulk of the snaps? Maybe it's always open and they simply go with the guy they believe is the best.

There's nothing to this. Fans can't accept the offensive line sucks. They have to pretend those five spots are kosher and we just have to fiddle with our RB rotation. Makes it a much quicker fix. Easier for Joe Fan to swallow. The players are there. We got more than enough talent. It's just these damn coaches are holding us back.

Garrett's emphasized competition this offseason.

Let's hope that's a direct dig at the unqualified GM above him and a real change in our approach.

But I can't get past the fact that Felix Jones was a 1st round draft pick who barely played his rookie year and that decision should have been Jason Garrett's.

IMO, its because that same GM had recently signed a huge check to the guy in front of him.

Ill take that. Having talent is fine but unless you apply it, its worthless. Not having great vision as a rb is a big thing. I guess thats why we have a rb in Felix with homerun talent but rarely is seen. Cause he cant see the opening to hit it.

I didn't say Felix doesn't have good vision as a RB.. i've seen him hit plenty of holes that weren't there for very long/weren't very big. You almost have to with this OL.
