If a coach on one team is Offensive Coordinator/QB coach, is he eligible to move to another team if they call him Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach? Is AHC considered a step up or just a lateral move with a better title?

I ask because of this scenario...

Josh McDaniels removed himself from the Cleveland Brown HC consideration 6 days ago. The Erhardt-Perkins scheme is not that much different in WR routes than Coryells scheme but it does emphasize the run and uses multiple formations for basic plays. Jason's scheme uses same formations and purports to runs multiple plays from those unchanging formations. I know Romo and Garrett are both enamored with the Patriots.

No, not unless the team grants him permission.

The only thing an asst coach can leave another team for w/o permission is HC
