I have him too, but just to be safe I did pick up Randle.
Randle could potentially have a pretty big game if he gets significant carries.

Just heard Ben Hartsock, a TE, on the radio. He had the same injury on his ring finger a few years ago and played 10 days later.
He said he thinks Murray can and will play. Once the pin is in, it's practically impossible to break it again. The only problem is the swelling and discomfort from the surgery itself, not the actual injury. Said his biggest problem will be not even the impact of the initial blow in blocking, but after that when you grab the jersey (because of course holding is basically legal now). But thinks he can compensate enough to get by.

Sounds like a spiral fracture. I had that one, pins and all. The pins stick out just a bit above the skin (at least on mine they did) and makes it VERY vulnerable for a re-break.
Of course, I didn't have a cast and I imagine this guy and Murray, do.

I haven't even read anything about it today, but Hartsock said he saw pics of Murray and he said it looked like Murray had the exact same protection he did -- a plastic plate. He said it compromises your flexibility, but you can get a glove over it. He said he was even able to catch with it, though he was primarily a blocking TE.

Yeah this was back in the 90s. My right hand got crushed in a machine, all the bones in it broken, many compound and spiral type fractures. Many pins, many surgeries, much rehab. Originally they wanted to amputate. Right middle finger had 2 pins in it, in the bone just above the knuckle. So I doubt it's anything like the owie Murray has.
I just know that stainless steel pins in bones most definitely do NOT make the bone any harder to break again - quite the contrary. They drill a hole all the way through it, to insert the pin.

It's functional. But I lost my bowling skills and of course, can no longer control a football for passing. And used to be a pretty good passer.
For example I used to average around 221 as a bowler, and even thought at one time about trying to go pro. Since the hand injury I am lucky to break 100. Just can't do anything with it that requires a good deal of power and control. But for everything else it is pretty much fine. You can't tell anything ever happened to it, visually except for alot of scars.
