I don't mind the fumble next to the goal line. He had no where to go with the ball and while he shoulda thrown it out the back of the endzone, he wanted to secure the win. I can't hate a player with that mentality.

The interception was no good. Thats a play you throw the ball out of bounds.

We gotta take the good with the bad. Romo is gonna put us in a position to win just as likely as he's gonna throw the game away. Fans need to understand he'll never be a Manning or Brady. Those guys are too hard to find.

Its got nothing to do with his mentality, imo. Im fine with trying to go for the goal. But you make damn sure above all else you have two hands on that ball and you DON'T lose it no matter what. A FG in that situation is just as good. We were already up, and even a FG would have made it a 2 possession game. A veteran QB simply can't make that silly mistake. If it were Roy Williams that did it again (just like he did last season) people would be calling for his head. Romo doesn't get a pass because he's Romo. He screwed up bad on that play. Inexcusable.

Im not talking stats, im talking total package. Romo won't ever approach what Manning can do.

thats fine. I dont think they are equal, but the reality is when people look back on mannings career they will always be congratulating him for regular season stats and wins. He has not been a good post season player. The colts could have been the team of the decade but he was a walking turnover machine in those playoffs and they were really untimely intercpetions against the pats....

the guy is among the greats, but most of it is regular season stats and wins.

At some point with these assessments of Romo's turnovers, is it going to matter how many turnovers he has, actually? Compared to other QBs?

If you're able to concede that Romo plays well, statistically, in most games. And you can look at the numbers and see that he's not turning the ball over an inordinate amount compared to other QBs, and yet we're still losing the close games...is it ever going to click that maybe the reason we're in the close games in the first place isn't necessarily the quarterback's fault? If you think his stats are good right now, how good would he look if he somehow eliminated his miscues? Insanely good. And that still would be just good enough for us to win games like the Jets game last week. At some point, that's a reflection on some of the other players on the field.

Compared to other QBs Romo is about average with his rate of turning the ball over. He isn't as bad about giving it away as Eli, Vick, or Cutler but he isn't as good at protecting the ball as Brady, Ryan, Rodgers or Flacco.

Who's saying that everything is Romo's fault? All i said was the two turnovers he made are inexcusable and we should have won that game, even with 3rd stringers and Safeties playing CB, and even with an almost entirely new OL.
