..and please spare us all this "diva" talk with Dez. Dez is the freakin anti diva. You act like he's on the sideline crying because he just broke a nail or something. He's on the sideline screaming and pleading with his teammates to show some Goddamn passion and play ball because im sure he can see as well as us the talent on that sideline, and yet we fail to show it far too often. We don't play consistent football. The guy wants to win, just like TO, and sadly.. him trying to get people fired up and wanting to play great football and beat the other teams ass gets confused with selfishness and immaturity far too often. Some people are just fiery personalities and they want to win at all costs. Like TO, i bet you don't see Bryant act nearly as pissed off on the sideline if we are winning. Already, that's held true this year. You only hear reports of this bs after we lose games.

Your analysis of him isn't quite fair. Yes, he has some work to do.. particularly in his route running. Yes, he's immature, but he's also just a kid.

People talk of his potential because he has as much talent as anyone at the position in the entire NFL. People don't talk of potential when they speak of Manning or Brady because they've been in the league 15 years and are already established players. Bryant is in his second year. Big difference.

Also, he most certainly does not make repeated mistakes that kill drives or cause turnovers. That's just silliness to even say.

He's not what i'd call a reliable WR yet either, but i bet if we threw him the ball more often that would start to change, too. Everytime its thrown his way he simply fights to get to it and make a play. He can't make plays if the ball isn't thrown in his direction, and eventually Tony and this staff will figure out that he's one of those guys that even if he doesn't look open you still throw it his way because you know he will beat his man to the ball.

You dont think he has killed drives? Seriously? His inability to read defenses and go all out have led to interceptions and incomplete passes on third down killing drives. Romo has thrown balls into tight spaces with him and they have been negative plays. 3 of his picks are bryant targets.

The only big play I think he has made as a wr in the non redzone jump ball was the td to set the tone against the giants in 10. It was a great play of focus and athletic ability to come down with kitnas throw and set the tone for the game. That is what he is billed as and given credit for already but he has not been consistent.

Drew pearson kills the guy everyweek after the games on the postgame show because the guy is all over the place as a wr.

Freeman's article is quite a bit exaggerated. There was some of what he said going on, but it definitely didnt appear to be anything of concern.

And as RTH mentions, Austin was having some of those same animated conversations with both Romo and WR coach Jimmy Robinson.

Romo played a lousy game the other night IMO. he hardly looked for the WR's downfield before dumping it off. There were some plays it was neccessary, but there were more examples of him just getting rid of it as fast as he could regardless of whether their was real pressure or not.

Im well aware that he is not consistent, and have already said as much, but i'll just say this.. the interceptions that have come to routes that Dez has run are not all his fault. The one in particular where the pass was between him and Miles, everyone on the broadcast tried to blame him when clearly it was just an awful pass by Tony that i honestly don't know if he was throwing to Miles or Dez. He's just easy to blame for some because we know he has work to do on his route running and its just easier to blame him than the "established vet" Tony, who must know what he's doing.

well there you go. An owens guy.

Owens wasn't nearly as bad as people think on the sideline and on the field. He simply wanted to win. When his team was winning football games it was never about him or his stats, he was just happy to win a damn football game. Dez seems to be the same way so far, the man just wants to win games and his fiery and animated personality come to the forefront when this team loses. I can't blame him, we all see the talent this team has and to play so inconsistently and pathetically at times would cause me to try and fire guys up and get pissed off myself. Its football, as i said already, maybe Tony would benefit from someone screaming in his face because he needs something to wake his ass up sometimes.

Id rather have Dez trying to get people pissed off and pumped up and playing angry than Romo and his Eeyore routine on the sidelines all the time.

Do you even process what it is you're reading? I've mentioned it in a couple other posts, and again in the post you quoted here.

I'm out. You win.

I said the play I think he made that was spectacular was the one in ny last year, set the tone and really emotionally lifted the team along with mcanns return.

which plays do you think he made that were spectacular? I am not trying to win any discussion just talking about it. If you want I wont respond to you that is fine. its very zone like and I will do that if you want.

~sigh~

I wasn't asking for any particular play. I only questioned your statement of saying he's never done anything out of the ordinary on the field. I mentioned he's done both, both as a receiver and as a returner. And poked fun at your fictional 5th round WR.

Reply all you want. I don't give a shit. So you can leave your zone gayness out of it. I might have had 100 total posts over there. You were a regular. I'll leave it at that.

if you wont respond with his plays that have been incredible then why ask me twice to reply to what you are saying? I am confused and glad we are done with this.

Alot of his TD catches remind you of Calvin Johnson or Dre the way he just goes up and takes the ball and you end up almost feeling sorry for the DB because Dez is just bigger, faster, and stronger and he never had a chance. Him going one on one with almost any DB is like watching a college senior all-conference OL'man going up against a JV middle school DL'man.

Dense [dens]

adjective, dens·er, dens·est.
1.
having the component parts closely compacted together; crowded or compact: a dense forest; dense population.
2.
stupid; slow-witted; dull.
3.
intense; extreme: dense ignorance.
4.
relatively opaque; transmitting little light, as a photographic negative, optical glass, or color.
5.
difficult to understand or follow because of being closely packed with ideas or complexities of style: a dense philosophical essay.

Gonna have to go with #2 here.

It's 24 weeks and Dez is still being shown where to line up. I've rarely seen a young WR ever do that, certainly haven't seen one still doing that with that much time in the NFL.

That's all you need to know about Dez.
