No way he misses the game. I just don't see it.

If he does, I expect Martellus Bennett has a break out game.

I figure Witten will be tied up with Willis all afternoon. Willis is one of the few ILB's in the game that can run with Wit. Austin will have double coverage.

So Bennett coming back should make an impact in the passing game if there's no Dez.
But ultimately I think Dez gets on the field on game day.

Uh, why exactly?

Oh right, because he blocks like a LT.

I thought he injured it when he came down from catching that high pass. And in any event, why are you all so sure that we're going to beat the Niners, with Dez?

I guess anything is possible, but we are alot more talented than them. Anybody else probably would have beaten Seattle by 4 or 5 tds with the way they played the other day.

I feel pretty confident we'll win comfortably.

Did he get hurt on ST?

Yep, he did, they were talking about it during the later part of the game.

You guys fucking crack me up. Being so "confident" Dallas will beat the Niners. lol. Saying they should win even if Dez doesn't play. lol

Not me. This may be a different coach and shit, but, the majority of the players are the same from last season and not much has changed that I can see yet.

I am hoping I am DEAD WRONG though and the Cowboys beat the piss outta SF.

Jerry: Not certain Dez Bryant plays

SEP 16 10:22 AM CT
By Tim MacMahon

IRVING, Texas -- Jerry Jones said Thursday that he expects Dez Bryant to play Sunday in San Francisco.

A day later, Jones said he isn't certain about that.

Bryant did not practice Wednesday or Thursday due to a bruised quadriceps suffered on a punt return in the first quarter of last week's loss to the New York Jets. Bryant, who also suffered cramps during the game, was clearly bothered by the injury and jogged many of his pass routes in the second half.

"We're going to have to monitor that and are monitoring it," Jones said during a Friday appearance on KRLD-FM, the team's flagship station. "He didn't practice the last couple of days, but we'll see how he does today and of course we've got at least 48 hours before kickoff time. Hopefully he'll feel better as we get closer to Sunday."

Bryant said Thursday afternoon that he's "feeling good" and planned to practice Friday.

“We're hopeful he'll continue to improve on his rehab, and hopefully be ready to go on Sunday afternoon," coach Jason Garrett said Friday.

Dez Bryant doesn't practice

IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said Thursday that he expects receiver Dez Bryant to play Sunday in San Francisco.

A day later, Jones said he isn't certain about that.

Bryant has not practiced this week due to a bruised quadriceps suffered on a punt return in the first quarter of last week's loss to the New York Jets. Bryant, who also suffered cramps during the game and was shut out after making three catches for 71 yards and a touchdown on Dallas' first two drives, was clearly bothered by the injury and jogged many of his pass routes in the second half.

"We're going to have to monitor that and are monitoring it," Jones said during a Friday morning appearance on KRLD-FM, the team's flagship station. "He didn't practice the last couple of days, but we'll see how he does today and of course we've got at least 48 hours before kickoff time. Hopefully he'll feel better as we get closer to Sunday."

Bryant, a 2010 first-round pick who missed the final four games of last season with a broken fibula, said Thursday afternoon that he's "feeling good" and planned to practice Friday. However, Bryant was not on the field during the media access portion of Friday's practice.

"We're hopeful he'll continue to improve on his rehab and hopefully be ready to go on Sunday afternoon," coach Jason Garrett said Friday.

Garrett does not have a rule about players needing to practice during the week to play in a game. He makes those decisions on an individual basis.

"He's capable of making game-winning plays for us without that [practice] rep," Jones said Thursday. "While we want him to evolve and do the things you do with experience, if he's healthy, he's valuable to us."
