He's played in the league a year longer than Elam but is 2 years younger than him. dbair is right, he is an upgrade over Elam but that's like being the tallest midget.

The 2013 draft is loaded with safeties and maybe we'll look at Harrison Smith in the 2nd or someone like Markelle Martin or Janzen Jackson in the 3rd-5th round range.

This isn't a bad move to me, just not anything to get excited over. Fills a hole.

Yeah, until I found out we only signed him for one year. I didn't know the details of the contract. You updated the thread after I posted that.

I'm just sayin' if it's only for one year we should of just kept Elam.

I like the Pool signing until I found out it was only a year. It does make sense to keep Elam in that case.
