Lack of a pass rush and also coaching.

We have good enough cover guys. When they all look awful you have to think something other than themselves is causing it.

We don't need to add another cornerback to fix it. And adding a cornerback does nothing to fix the defense. Like I told you in 2003 when we made the horrific decision to draft Terence Newman.

Get a real defensive coordinator to implement his defense in a camp led by a real head coach, fix the defensive line, the linebackers, FS and the defense is fixed. Then the corners play well and we can all talk about how much they improved in one short year. Like magic and stuff.

3 step drops play into the hand of the defense.

If an offense has to resort the quick passing game and severely shorten the field, then the defense has already won. You are essentially running your offense expecting heavy pressure on every snap. Advantage, defense.

That was a theory concocted by corner whores who don't understand the game of football. They see completions made and don't have the intelligence to get past the cornerback who happened to be covering, to see what's really going on to create that situation.

3 step drops do not negate the pass rush. They wave the white flag to it.
