Dallas needs a player like kirkpatrick to play that centerfield type safety we all know dallas needs. the more sensabaugh is not in coverage the better the def is.

If the guy excelled at CB and is highly touted as such, why change him to safety?

The thing about Tanehill is that it you're using your best asset needed to rebuild on the same position where you're best player currently is.

I think they are thinking he isn't fluid enough to be an everydown NFL Corner but like his toughness, size, and overall athletic ability enough to think he can still have an effective safety. Think Antrell Rolle.

He's scheme-intensive, meaning if you play a man-heavy cover scheme then you'd could keep him at CB, but if you need a playmaker in the secondary and run a zone-intensive coverage scheme, then you might want to look at him as a FS.

In a lot of aspects of his game, he looks to be a tremendous one.

Or Patrick Peterson. He put those safety rumors to bed this year.

Or the guy drafted in 2009 by the Saints, Malcolm Jenkins

Thank you John Madden. I'm just tired of us looking at CB and wanting to convert them to FS. We fucked up doing that with AOA, while passing up on Kam Chancellor---and actual safety, who was taken a full round later. Now Kam is half of probably the best young safety tandem in the league.

We need a safety, then let's actually draft one for a change.
