The aim of this was to start a discussion around racial stereotypes, and while the intent was good the execution was misguided

This could be the start of a really great story.

The first time I saw a black person that night I got all nervous, like how are they gonna take this? But since I am such an imposing figure, and I have no enemies outside of fellow Cowboys fans on the internet, they were intimidated and didn't say anything.

Then I saw a group of black women later that night, and I decided to go up to them and just tell them that I didn't mean any offense. Before I could even get a word out, they saw me coming and they got up smiling and asked if they could take a picture with me. They loved the sweater. Said I should lose the jean shorts and green balloon though. I told them I respected them, but I wasn't changing who I was because I was wearing black santa.
