It bothers me that he cannot be critical of the line and point out their shortcomings. I know that the OL was his unit, but he cannot honestly be happy with the way they played. If the big plan for the OL revival is the return of Costa and starting Parnell at RT...we are F'd.

Looks like Jerry has already informed the staff they won't get any help on the OL.

I'm hoping that all of this is just a smokescreen. I recall Jerry saying pretty much the same thing, the draft leading up to Smith. I remember, because I pissed off about it, then Jerry drafts Smith. So I'm hoping it's the same thing.

You wouldn't want them to be talking down the Oline, and thereby divulge their potential draft strategy?

Any and everything from all teams will be scrutinized from here on up to the draft, so that any nugget can be gleaned and used to advantage.

With the exception of Mosley, who may have been duped or asked to put out wrong info, a ton of people had us taking Tyron Smith in 2011. We usually don't do a great job of hiding who we like/want in the 1st except for last year when we jumped up to take Mo. Even then, we might not have realistically expected Claiborne to be available at 6 or expected that anyone would be willing to make that kind of move. A ton of people had us taking Brockers and it looks like that's exactly who we would have taken if the Rams trade wasn't an option.

Actually in the very beginning the majority had us either taking JJ Watt or Prince Amukamara. Smith to the Cowboys eventually gained steam, and it became solidified behind Tyron Smith, becuase Garrett had went to Smith's Pro Day at USC. I knew then we were getting Smith, because 1.) Garrett was the only HC to have visited Smith's Pro Day, and 2.) that was the only Pro Day, Garrett went to that year.

I don't think we knew we were getting Ware that one year. Or trading back in to get Spencer. I say it's about 50/50.

I meant in the weeks leading right up to the draft. Everyone knew we were taking Bobby Carpenter, Felix Jones, Dez Bryant, Tyron Smith, etc.

I think most felt we were targeting Merriman or Ware. As far as Spencer, Jones made a big deal about him after the Combine. He said something to the effect that he really liked what Spencer did standing up in the linebacker drills and that he was "very impressed" and then voila! we draft Spencer.

CYA............

Congratulations you coached an o-line that help produce the lowest rushing output for a 16 game schedule in Cowboys history.

No sugarcoating that Bill.

I no longer want this man calling plays. And fuck the "What did you expect him to say?" argument. Either tell the truth or say "no comment." Don't lie through your teeth about a shitty o-line.

I never liked him from the day he was hired. This just confirms why. He has got a free pass considering the olines troubles last season. Even Tyron regressed under his coaching.

Maybe Tyrone isn't as good as we thought...

I wasn't for drafting him with the 9th pick myself, but he played well the second half of his rookie season. This season he reminded me why I was against drafting him. He went back to making the same mistakes that I saw at USC.
