Daryl Johnston may be my favorite Cowboy of all-time. I would curse Jerry for putting him in the ring of honor.

And stop using the term straw man. Makes you sound like a little internet nerd.

Your whole retarded argument was centered around it.
You know that's incorrect. That's your straw account.

My actual argument has been stated many times and you have had zero answer for it, so you have to pretend, and address a argument I never made.. Pointing out Bates is considered by the organization a top ten safety was and only ever is, the answer to those who underrate Bates. It's NOT the argument for his RoH induction.

The argument for his spot in the RoH is his fifteen years of service, how he changed the way the game is played and how he honored the star on and off the field.
Almost missed this.
Quote me out of context all you want, all it does is show you're dishonest.
I'd have guys like Waters, Harris, Woodson, Downs, Everett, James Washington, Roy Williams ahead of him.
They are. Visit the link.
Yeah, that's what I was saying earlier in the thread. He tried to argue both sides of it. Mainly because there is no reason for him to be in the ROH, and he is having to pull shit out of his ass to try to make the argument.
Total bullshit. And you know it is, you're merely trying to debate a false narrative.

Then you're just stupid.

When people stop employing the straw fallacy, I'll stop pointing it out. You don't understand it, and feel left out. It's okay, you have access to all the world's information at your fingertips. All you need do is choose to use it.

Yeah, I'm a big old dummy, not wanting to put guys, though very good, into the ring of honor just because they went to a couple Pro Bowls and were fan favorites. I'm a tard. And I understand the straw man fallcy, but it has been ruined by the internet. I instantly feel like people who accuse others of using it, merited or not, are akin to guys that call fouls in pickup basketball games.

I didn't quote you out of context, you fucking imbecile. They were both complete quotes of yours that contradicted each other.

And now you're claiming Bates changed the way the game was played?

:lol

Imbecile, indeed.

They were addressing different ideas, not the same one as is your claim. Anyone can check it and see you're just a dishonest broker.

That's actually about the third time I've said that. Know what special teams headhunters are? Invented to stop Bates. And weren't very effective against him but are still employed today.

You believe it should be only just for big stars who scored alot of touchdowns.

Yes, because it is employed so often by so many weak minded morons. Calling them on it isn't the problem, that the morons continue to employ it, is.

I thing that only elite, franchise changing players should be in the RoH. It is the Ring of Honor, not the Ring of Pretty Good.

Maybe you should consult the RoH charter. There's nothing in it which resembles this.

I don't care about the charter. I like the exclusivity that that the Dallas RoH has become. I'd rather have it the way it has been, than say, the Redskins, who have about 500 players in theirs. Basically anyone with more than 50 games played is worshiped as a God.

So no doubt you oppose Haley's inclusion.

Seems to make more sense to not make shitty arguments, insteqad of screaming strawman everytime your argument is dismantled.

Anbd if everyone thinks your argument is A, and you keep insisting it is B, maybe you just constructed your argument poorly

If you take the time to actually read, you'll know what you're talking about. I never said or even hinted that Bates should be in the Ring for his play at safety. And that's what's being dishonestly asserted.

Yet anytime someone says he would be getting in as a career special-teamer you bring up that he was "A TOP TIN ALL TIMEZ SAFETEEZ!".

Haley would be the exception to the rule. He was an elite player for us and a pivotal reason we won three titles while he was here. We were infinity better with Haley. The same can't be said about Bates.
