Dick Morris. One of my favorite politicians.

Only because he's a crazy mfer. I remember him yelling at Alan Colmes in 08, even pretty much calling him a brain dead liberal.

well he is

I'm not brainwashed, I didnt need anyone to tell me what to think.

There are certain things I firmly believe in and believe its the right way to do things. Lower taxes, less government involvement, less regulation in private business, allowing the free market to work, strong national defense, am firmly against abortion (unless its in cases of rape or when a mother's life is in danger) etc etc
Yet you vote for guys who want to raise taxes.

Yeah there's no such thing.

Best you can do is go in with your eyes open and know what their bias is in advance so you can filter everything they say through that lens.

If anyone says they have an unbiased source telling the REAL story chances are you are about to be directed to some shitty website where 911 was an inside job and vaccinations are killing everyone.

as opposed to be voting for people who would raise taxes even higher

I don't vote.

Mind you, I grade out as a moderate conservative.

I simply recognize the fact that my best interests won't be served no matter who is elected into office from either jackass both parties decide should be President.

I respect that you have core beliefs I really do, but your core beliefs come right from right wing conservative rhetoric, that is why I have hard time believing you aren't just espousing right wing rhetoric every time I see you post in these threads. Honestly that isn't fair of me either because I haven't discussed politics much with you so I don't know that for a fact I am making an assumption.

None of your core beliefs are bad and I even hold a few (in particular, letting the free market work, less government and against abortion) of the same views. If you would indulge me I'd like to elaborate on what you mean by Lower taxes (who's taxes should be lowered and how would you pay off our current debt), less government involvement (in what manner, business, I'd prefer less government in private lives) , less regulation of private business (what regulations should be done away with), allowing the free market to work, (I agree bailing out those businesses and banks was stupid, they should have been allowed to fail), strong national defense (how is that not already been accomplished why keep throwing billions at it, in 2010 I think it was 20% of the entire federal budget second largest piece.), abortion (no place in modern society to kill innocent children at all)

The defense budget is so high, because we are the policemen of the world. And it sucks. I hate that we have presences still in places that are doing better economically than we are simply because they don't have to spend a damn dime on defense. I mean, do we really still need to be in fucking Germany or Korea? They don't even pay anything for the defense we give them except give us the ability to fly and land there on bases we built lol. Bring those guys home, put them on the borders or retrain them for other things.

It's just a waste and thats just one of the many things about the defense budget that bothers me.

Don't get me started on entitlements. If we are truly gonna have to live with Obamacare, just go single payer, roll medicare/Medicaid into it and quit pussy footing around stealing money from one to pay for another. Voter ID, make it law. Make it also a law that there be transportation for those in rural areas to get to voting booths on time and a ride home. Or I dunno, put voting booths in more locations. If the only thing we have against voter ID is I don't have a ride there, we can fix that, can't we?

Hell, voter ID could replace SS Cards that just piss me off as well as act as debit cards for those that are on welfare / social security to have money instead of a check or what have you.

Why do we have a tax system that actually makes it so confounded for anyone to understand that every year thousands of folks can defraud it without fear of reprisal while folks that think they did it right have to pay for things they wouldn't even have done on purpose?

Back on Obamacare, it's a cluster fuck. So much of that bill was pig and add on shit about student loans that it just pisses me off thinking about it. They had a chance to do it right. And they made it a Christmas list of proportions we may never find out about until it's to late.

Quit letting colleges give degrees in general studies or poetry or many of the other degrees cluttering up programs that amount to, "I want to work in a coffee shoppe the rest of my life and still not pay off my student loan".

It's sad, but Votech schools are putting out kids these days that are making bank, because everyone thinks they have to go to college. The world needs wielders too ya know? Go do that, and right poems as you wield metal sheets together.

I can go on and on. We the People are more like We the cattle and both sides of the aisle are wanting some red meat.

I've thought this way ever since High School. I spent a ton of time arguing with college professors over politics and was so good at it I actually had a small fan club.

If you would indulge me I'd like to elaborate on what you mean by Lower taxes (who's taxes should be lowered and how would you pay off our current debt),

I guess I should have said tax reform. I want the tax system overhauled. I hate the income tax system we have now and firmly believe the Fair Tax model is the way to go. If that cant be accomplished then yes, just lowering everyone's tax rates (and starting with the excessive corporate income taxes) should be the least they do.

less government involvement (in what manner, business, I'd prefer less government in private lives) ,

for starters, Obamacare should be repealed completely...we dont need the government running healthcare...

less regulation of private business (what regulations should be done away with),

most business owners agree they are vastly over regulated by the government and that there are alot of costs attached to the regulation

allo
wing the free market to work, (I agree bailing out those businesses and banks was stupid, they should have been allowed to fail),

Exactly this.

strong national defense (how is that not already been accomplished why keep throwing billions at it, in 2010 I think it was 20% of the entire federal budget second largest piece.),

I've read this administration has made plans to begin drastically downsizing our Navy, which is a huge mistake IMO. I've also read that the amount of money put into R&D for defense has been, and is going to be cut further. Dont agree with that at all.

abortion (no place in modern society to kill innocent children at all)

am firmly against this except in cases of rape, incest or the mother's life...I totally dont understand how this was ever allowed to begin with
