Babe just said it's a no brainer on Phil costa at center. Went onto say he was great against denver and will be the starter with gurode moving to guard. Also said he is not even sure Holland makes the team, said he knew he was going to be the starter with Davis getting cut and he still couldn't come to camp in shape and ready to play..

I am curious what happens here, babe is usually spot on.

When Williams was cut I was dead set on them signing a 3wr, but watching the younger guys run the other night, I'm was excited to see who would win the 3wr job out of Ogletree, Harris and possibly Radway.

That is why you somehow re work a deal with Roy W. And get rid of him IF he doesnt' want to do that.

But, just like with safeties and corners. this fucking FO is clueless and think in house average talent will do the deal.

I don't think there is any way Gurode moves to G. Costa may end up starting at LG, but Gurode is not going to move there.

I am curious as to who the 3rd WR is they are talking about. Really not much left out there. I do like the upside of the younger WRs, but I'd wave bye bye to Ogletree or Radway if they could get a legit WR.

I like the move and I hope it works out. I've been a Costa fan from day 1.

Not sure how I feel about Gurode back at Guard. He was pretty mediocre there years ago. Not sure he would have improved with age. Better than Holland, though. And I guess it seems clear that we're not going to sign Waters.

And I disagree about the third receiver not being on the team. Ogletree/Harris will fill that role.

We have two true #1 receivers.

Plus, we're loaded at TE, and have versatile backs.

You have to give young kids a shot.

Besides, any team that suffers an injury to a starter at any position will feel the repurcussions.

Sure, give the young kids a shot, but if you can add a vet WR on the cheap you do it. Radway is nice and all, but he shoudl be on the PS, not the active roster.

I wasn't referring to Radway. He's not even in the equation for this year, as far as I'm concerned.

I do like Ogletree, and I do like Harris. I especially like Harris.

There isn't a third receiver out there now, or after cuts, who will be worth a shit.
