The distance between the Cowboys and Seahawks may be even farther.
Seattle lost three games this season by a total of 15 points on its way to the Super Bowl title. The Cowboys lost four of their final seven games by a total of 52 points in missing the playoffs for a fourth consecutive season.
Seattle is building momentum and could be on the verge of sustained success. The Cowboys are treading water, doing their best not to go under.
