I don't think Britt would be a horrible add if the price were cheap, but to people like yourself that post these stats, please remember there is some context.

Williams is the 3rd or 4th fiddle in this offense, which is also the only offense in football that runs more than it passes. And in two of the last 3 years, we have constantly played with leads. If we threw the ball 40-50 times a game or were down big all the time, TW's stats would probably be quite a bit different.

Except that in 2013 Dallas was throwing an average of 36 times a game and Demarco Murray had 53 recs to TWillys 44 and then in 2014 when the amount of passes decreased DeMarco Murray had 57 receptions. Why does that matter? DeMarco Murray is a check down which means the primary targets were covered. Why does that matter? TWilly gets single coverage. Dez and Witten get double so it makes sense when they are covered to check down. Then in 2015 TWilly was targeted 95 times and caught 52. That's pretty much 50% catch rate which is not unusual for a number 1 WR but is unusual when the targets for the #1 WR are less than 100 - and very unusual when a fellow WR (Cole Beasley) is targeted 21 times less (74) and catches the same amount (52) and even more odd when Darren McFadden catches just 12 less passes (40) than the #1 WR and McFaddens main role is running the ball for 1000+ yards. TWilly gets single coverage and can't get open. Part of it is he is dumb. Part of it is he is slow for the scheme. Part of it is he can only catch certain kinds of passes. But mostly he's just not very good.

Last 4 years of average throws per game? 36 29 33 30 but the issue is TWilly only gets targeted and average of just over 4 times a game and averages under 3 catches per game. Really even if you round up, TWilly may get one catch per quarter - for 3 quarters in a game.

He is a waste of a roster spot.

Who was throwing Britt the ball last year? The 2 starters for the Rams at QB together averaged like 6 ypa.

The Rams play selection: 585 pass plays, 375 rushes. Britt was targeted on 111 throws, according to their team stats. That was the most on their team.

Compare that to the Cowboys. 511 pass plays, 499 rush plays. TW was targeted on 61 passes. 4th most targets on the Cowboys.

I don't think TW is great in any sense, but I'd assume even you stooges can figure out how to interpret stuff like this.

I cant find it, but it was posted after the season here and all over the internet. TW's QB rating FOR is actually really high during his time in the league. IIRC it was one of the top-10 in the league since he's been here. Doesn't tell the whole story, but it is an indicator that he is pretty productive on his opportunities.
