Forgive me for posting this here, but it needs to be addressed. I doubt very seriously Love will NOT play Sunday. He needs to put on the same performance in Philly as he did in Dallas last year.

So tired hearing about how the Egals are SB bound. One of the easiest schedules in the league. Yet they put Barkley on a pedestal for being one of the greatest rb's....against horrific defenses. Glad they won the division. Now they'll have a tougher schedule.

With all the injuries Dallas/San Fransisco endured this season, McCarthy can only do as much as he's given. Shanahan was in the same predicament yet had his starting quarterback. I loathe seeing Philly win the division on these circumstances, after all, they imploded in 2023 in their last 6 games. Why? Because they couldn't handle elite teams. One & done!20250108_174515.jpg20250108_174532.jpg

I believe Love will play, as will Hurts. I don't think they're the centerpieces of this match-up though, and neither are Barkley and Jacob's. This will be whichever defense plays better, for which I'd give a slight edge to Philly.

Harper always came up big in the playoffs and then he disappeared in Tampa Bay
People forget he was once the 12th pick of the draft (1991). He was a talented player.

He wore out his welcome though and was essentially benched in the 1994 NFC Champ Game for lack of effort. After the loss when the locker room was all down he could be seen and heard bragging about how he was "gonna get paid by someone else" in a couple months (free agency)

He was also part of a big trade that didnt happen on draft day 1994. We were all set to trade him to the Rams for the 5th pick of the draft and were going to take Willie McGinest, but Bill Parcells/Pats surprised many by taking him at 4. Of course we ended up keeping Harper and took Shante Carver later in the 1st rd (who was a famous bust, due to extreme alcohol abuse)

I heard numerous times Harper was one of the most frequent fliers at the infamous "White House" in Dallas too.

I remember it all too well, those were the days and the last dying breaths of hope for fans, RIP

60 mils per yr for this QB.

And look at that genius Dan Quinn defensive scheme.

And bring back the fatso HC who led them into battle.

The ultimate show of GM Jerry futility. Playoff wins the last 25 years (from worst to best)

We have 4 plyaoff wins over the last 25 years. The Texans didnt even exist until 2002 and just won their 6th postseason game.

The 4 playoff wins is tied for 4th fewest in the league. Only the Browns (1), Foreskins (1), Fish (1), Lions (2) and Bears (3) have fewer. The Lions will likely tie us or pass us this postseason.

GB stunk it up in Philly. Much different team than the one who pounded Dallas last year in the playoffs. That said, personally, I don't see them getting past any of the potential teams they'll play next. Not only are they better teams that had a much tougher schedule, but Philly won't have home field advantage either.
