IMHO, the problem with what you wrote is that it isn't based on realism. Is it possible that both Jerry and Stephen decide to step down? Sure, I suppose anything is possible. How realistic is it?

So, as fans, we (I think) have to try to argue within the realm of reality. So that's why talking about getting rid of this person and bringing in that person makes sense because it's based on being realistic.

We ALL know the leadership is the problem!
Jerry giving up control to an actual football man IS unrealistic; that was part of my point. Jerry won't put in the work to fix anything properly; that would be akin to admitting that he was wrong, which would destroy reality as we know it. This mess can NEVER begin to be fixed until actual football minds are in charge, which the Jones' will never be.
Regarding outcome 2. The Steelers are paying Russell Wilson 1.2 million. His cap hit is 1.2 million. 38 million is being paid by the Broncos. So it might be possible to make a move here and a move there.

BUT, Dak takes up 33% of the cap next year. Unless Dak is the most greedy player in the NFL (might be) that has to be restructured. His base alone is 47.7 million in 2025, which is more than the Broncos are paying to not have Russell Wilson in 2024.

The percentage might also go down as a result of the cap going up, but if Dak truly wants to win that raw number must go down significantly.
Two problems with this. First, if Dak was someone willing to restructure this offseason he'd have signed sooner for less in the first place. He won't be help in that regard at this time. Second, it's not just him. You get rid of others early there would be more hits, more dead money. Yes, you can work with rookie deals and bargain veterans, but my point is that it WILL TAKE TIME. There is no quick fix, even if it starts tomorrow.

No one can expect a team that has 8 starters out, to win. That said, AA1ujalO.jpg

One of the classic Cowboy-Redskin matches. Summerall & Madden calling the game. 1991 the week before Thanksgiving we go into RFK and give the unbeaten Redskins their first loss. Jimmy pulled out all the stops this day. I had to find the exact quote:

“If you got a big gorilla and you’re gonna try to beat him, don’t go tiptoeing around. You sneak up behind him with a big ol’ stick, and you swing as hard as you can and hit him in the head.”

Aikman got clobbered with 4 or 5 sacks in the first half and had a pick 6, but overall his numbers were good (13/20, 200 and the hail mary type TD to Harper before halftime). Buerlien came in and helped seal the win (this was the first of the season closing 5 games win streak to get us into the playoffs) Emmitt ended up with 130+ yds and Irvin took Darrell Green to the woodshed that day (one of many times) by also getting 130 yds or so.

Processing his huge bank account lol.

But... I believe if he went into a Shanahan system or even with the Rams coach, he would flourish. He just landed in the wrong spot.

Yep, don't disagree.
