Well, they did it Sunday, screwed up in reverse. Now the Jerry truthers and a few hardcore optomists had their spark of hope flicker. Good or bad news, depending on your persepctive, is that flame might be fanned further Thursday. Whether it's Tommy Devito or Drew Lock, I have even less faith in this crappy Giants squad than I do in our dumpster fire. This one's gonna be ugly. 17-16, don't know which direction, don't know if I'll be awake by the time we find out...

WTF! ..and it will only get worse with Stephen.

Relax, what do you expect him to say publicly with 6 games left in the season? He wants the players, as much as the fans to still think they have a chance and are playing hard.

McCarthy's already put his house on the market, he knows he is done here.

If we don't beat the Giants, rather comfortably, I'd say by 10 points, well, IDK...

I don't think this team is capable of beating anyone "comfortably"

IF they win, I'm sure it'll be a fairly close game and will have few, if any "style" points.

Comfortably. They spent all last week talking about Danny Dimes but not the Bucs and got whacked. They've checked out mentally. Get ready for another draft damaging win.

There really isnt anyone in this draft that's worth getting upset over missing out on.

The two best players are a Primadonna CB/WR and a RB that does look like a dynamic prospect. But we already have two good CB's (one just signed a huge deal, the other will need one after next season) and while I personally love the RB prospect it's also a very deep RB draft and the position itself has proven to be one that is not that high a priority anymore.

" the other will need one after next season," which is why we could use another lower-priced option at CB.

Even top first-round picks cost less than trying to sign a Pro-Bowl CB.

Looks like Danny Dimes is going to the playoffs.

I know that people are not high on Jones, but a chance to clear his head and have a fresh start could do him good.

But look at the Vikings. They did not sign Cousins to yet another ridiculous contract (they went further with Case Keenum at QB because they were able to field a more balanced team). So they got JJ McCarthy, who is using his down time to get bigger.

They've got Darnold, who they could possibly still sign as a backup. And Jones, who could also still be signed next year as a backup. Or they might choose to continue to go with Darnold as the starter if Darnold is reasonable.

2024 numbers
JJ McCarthy 1.56 percent of the cap
Sam Darnold 1.96 percent of the cap
Daniel Jones (don't know yet)

Kirk Cousins 9.79 percent of the cap, which surprised me. It seems only Jerry Jones is a drunken overspending jackass.

I personally think the QB position needs to be treated just like every other position, expendable. The only exception would be if the QB is obviously truly special. But even Mahomes in 2024 is 14.49 percent compared to Dak's 16.99 percent.

Hunter looks like a great prospect and yes, his contract would be less than trying to re-sign Bland, but you also are assuming he'll be good. What if he isnt? What if he's the next Morris Claiborne, Pac Trash Jones or Bruce Pickens? or We know what Bland is, and he has uncanny playmaking skill.

You also weren't going to get Hunter outside of the top-5, and it was a longshot for us to ever get into those spots anyway.
