There arnt any QB's worth drafting in the 1st round.

Shaduer Sanders (overhype supreme), Cam Ward (havent watched him much) , Quinn Ewers (funny throwing motion and might be total product of great coach and overwhelming talent around him), Carson Beck (stock plummeting), Jalen Milroe (no real passing skill whatsoever, just a big guy that runs really fast), Garrett Nussmeier (son of former Cowboys QB coach Doug), somewhat talented but incredibly inconsistent, Drew Allar (reminds me of a couple other highly drafted Penn State QB flops in several ways), Kyle McCord, Miller Moss (I think he might have just been benched), Jaxson Dart (talented and plays in a great system, but has serious accuracy struggles sometimes)

I wouldnt draft any of these guys in the top-20 or so of the 1st rd, and especially not where we will be drafting. Would support them using a day two pick on a QB if the right one was there.
If you go back in time, you will find people questioning Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, even saying they were not true first-rounders.

With Josh Allen they said things like he wasn't accurate enough, he had poor mechanics. His footwork was sloppy, and he was raw and they questioned if his raw talent would transfer to the NFL.

With Mahomes they said he was system dependent (Air-raid offense at Texas Tech), that he couldn't read defenses, and that he struggled to stay calm under pressure. They questioned his pocket presence under pressure, meanwhile, he is probably the most calm player under pressure in the NFL.

There were people who questioned Lamar Jackson and wanted to make him a WR. Bill Polian wasn't the only one. He was just the one on TV.

What I like about Sanders is his upside. Players develop. That is what position coaches are for. Of course, a coach can lead a horse to water...the rest is up to the horse. Would Sanders put in the work? I think there is an awful lot of pride in the Sanders household and Prime will not allow his son to fail based on a lack of effort.

We could try to hit in the late rounds. Plenty of examples, but let's try something different for a change. If we wait until 2026 our record might not allow us to get a top rated QB. A new RB, for example, might be just what the doctor ordered to go 10-7 and...nowhere.

But the record would be just good enough to knock us out of contention for a top QB (unless there is a Dan Marino type scenario). I say go after a top QB when you have the chance and don't waste the prime of Lamb, Parsons etc.

Unless you think Dak will have a resurgence.

Like I said. Keystone cops.

I'm going to take sh*t for this, but Jerry is right. Nobody was complaining about the sun last year when we were blowing out teams.

Tell the players to play better and stop using excuses. Did the sun go away for the Eagles?

The sun issue is the least of the Cowboys' numerous problems. But it is symbolic of why Jerry is the worst owner/GM in the NFL - i.e. him continually making dumb decisions, and his stubbornness in refusing to own up to his dumb decisions and rectifying them.

who is this and what did he do?
Bobby Slowick was considered one of the really hot assistant coaches and play callers in the league after last yr, was thought to be one of the primo HC candidates for this cycle. Now looks like he may be lucky to avoid being fired.

Slowick is the son of former Cowboys defensive assistant Bob Slowick, who Dave Wannstedt took with him to Chicago as DC when he left after the 92 Super Bowl win.

The sun is only an issue at certain times of the day, and it's been complained about for years by our players, opposing players and coaches and people that cover the NFL.

It was beyond stupid to do this and its even dumber for Jones to make excuses about it.

Jones leaves it the way it is because of an incredibly ignorant reason.

contrast that to Schramm/Landry who deliberately put the opposing teams bench in the hot sun to give them every conceivable edge possible

Fuck you Jones....can't wait til you are gone.

i see the misspelling of landry like i saw the sun blocker at the mccarthy presser

if there are people within the organization that are actively trying to mock the team from the inside, then i hope they keep doing it and become bolder

this is something belichick would be doing here

looking under every rock, turning every leaf, just to gain an ounce over the other team

complete opposite has been going on here for a long time
