Did you mean to say Will McClay and not Jerry Jones?

In any event, I think this team has some talent but it's in the wrong positions. The problem with MM is that he's weak. Players like to play for him but he doesn't command the team on the field. No one will in Dallas. No one in Dallas believes the players are accountable to the coach. Throw in the fact that you have no QB, even with a healthy Dak, and it's a recipe for disaster.

Not only is he gone for what’s left of this season, but because of the timing of the injury, and the severity of tearing all three ligaments, and the time it will take to rehab everything, he will likely to miss all of 2025 as well!

What a shitty way to cap off one fucked up season. AND we have most likely seen Zach Martin play his last football game of his career.

What a fucked up season this has been and it’s not even done getting worse yet!!

If I thought I had no reason to watch these games before, this certainly confirmed it. DMo was the one bright spot on this roster.

Yeah we have a lot of injuries and there are some areas lacking, but that wasnt the case for all 3 years of playoff failures. Not sure how anyone can make the case otherwise.

They were favored in two of the three home playoff losses and last yr they were coming off a yr where they won every home game (most by blowouts) and still flopped miserably against a painfully average 9-8 team.

THAT'S A COACHING PROBLEM

Massive loss. The best player on this defense, Great representative of what we'd all like Cowboys players to be. Best wishes for his surgery/surgeries to be best case.

Exactly

Not only was he a great player, but he was trending upwards and getting better every game. The sky was the limit with this kid.

By all accounts he is a great locker room guy, he always has the right positive attitude, and his teammates feed off of the energy he brings. Everybody loves this kid, be it teammates, coaches, training staff, everyone has nothing but great things to say about him.

Not only did he play HS and College ball in Texas, he’s a home grown talent that always grew up dreaming of playing for the Cowboys!!

This kid was literally living out his dreams.

He gets drafted by his favorite team that he grew up dreaming of playing for, then has an amazing training camp. And Boom, an ACL that sidelines him his entire rookie season. The kid keeps an amazing attitude the entire time.

He comes back from injury in his second season and is looking good in training camp. He starts the season and seems to be getting better each game. He’s making plays, has an impact and is living out his dream FINALLY!

Then boom, again!

A triple ligament tear that requires surgery that will knock him out the rest of the season, and by all accounts will keep him out all of next season too!

What’s this kids response? I’m gonna come back better and stronger than ever! Even in the face of all this the kid still has an amazing attitude!

This guy right here is the type of player we WANT to be a Cowboy!

No doubt Overshown is a huge loss but if we're going to be honest, he's not the straw that stirs the drink and we were losing with him in the lineup. These losses are lessened when you have a quality guy under center. Nothing improves until the most important spot on the team improves.....and it's not at LBer. Not even close.

All true Amigo, but he was a major homerun where we drafted him.

Significant loss for next season (assuming he cannot return or misses most of the yr). We've seen what bad LB play looked like the pasr few seasons, and him being on the field went a long way towards changing that narrative. Now we'll need to find a suitable replacement. (Liufau is intriguing but is a different type of player)

Jerry is a fucking idiot and has since come out and basically admitted he was wrong.

They didnt "go for the punt block" like this imbecile and Zoners over at Fucktard Zone suggested. It was a routine punt return set up and one guy beat the guy blocking him to deflect the punt.
