No one truly knows what the Dallas Cowboys are up to. Jerry often runs a tight ship, & he’s made it loud & clear that he makes all the calls there.

He’s surprised many people by not signing Dak to a contract extension thus far, & Dak is now expected to play on an expiring contract next season. Notably, that’s why it’s not that far-fetched to think that another quarterback-needy team could enter the mix.

With that in mind, NFL analyst Craig Carton revealed that there’s a new rumor that the Raiders are looking to trade for Dak. Make it happen Jerry. We ALL need to see dbair1967 apologize to you & Stephen.
There isn't a Cowboy fan who disagrees. Quinn only "stopped the run" against poor teams. That playoff against Green Bay was the proof in the pudding that he needed to go.
No running back tonight. It looks like we're reallly going into a season with Rico and Royce Freeman. Idjits.
Don't need one. :ROFLMAO: Dak talked Jerry into bringing back his BFF. You know, the dead weight, I got paid don't need to perform back back!20240427_132547.jpg

Carson Steele is not highly rated and he does not have the "Juice" that they are talking about on the draft show, however, I'd take him.

Carson has really good size and is a hard-nosed runner. In another post I talked about "flipping the script". I'm intrigued about going old school and pairing a big bruiser like Carson Steele with a versatile fullback like Hunter Luepke.

I understand teams no longer really use two-back sets as their primary formation, but "what is old is new again". It could be a wrinkle that flips the script. Especially with what should be (hoping) an improved OL.

It's a way to take pressure away from whoever the QB is. Put the ball less at risk. Pound the rock. Tire out the DL. And yes, score TDs. I don't know where this idea came from that you can't score if you run the football. Have people forge.

We also have very good TEs that can help score in the red zone and we have a very good kicker who should be good for 3 (unless he had a fluke year).

I'm intrigued by the idea of using a two-back set with Steele and Luepke.

Zeke is done as an elite back. But as long as he isn't being "paid" then bring him in and let him compete. He never had much wiggle. But with a good OL, he could still be productive.

Stealers did end up picking him but NFLN had some really bad reports on him. Dude literally doesnt have an ACL in one knee and they also noted the previous shoulder surgery he had was "bad"

The last report they had they said 22 teams have a service that share medical records amongst themselves, all 22 said the guy's career would be a single NFL contract at best.

How did we miss out on this gem?

Damn Eagles have three 4ths and three 5ths today

We have 4 picks total, 1 in 5, in 6 and 2 in 7th. Our first pick isnt until #174

I like the guys we picked yesterday (espcially Kneeland and Beebe) and I can see why Zimmer would really like the Notre Dame LB. But today could have been set up so much better had that fucktard GM and Spawn accepted the trade down from 87-95 that they said would have netted a 4th rd pick. Just fucking dumb. They probably would have still got Liufau at 95 and we'd have had a decent pick in 4.

I haven’t paid attention to the draft this year. I know nuthin bout nuthin.

But dayuuum, I really like Beebe’s sizzle reel. He’s a mean SOB. And in his post draft interview with the draft show he said he just wants to dirt ppl and he’s always looking to put people on their ass. And that is exactly what his highlights showed. He’s a ppl mover.

If this kid is our next center and Guyton is our next LT we might have a damn good OL this year.

So here we go again. Everyone is celebrating the draft because they are trying to win the best drafter award.

Well, I did my mocks here https://www.profootballnetwork.com/mockdraft and I can tell you that I traded back many times, including with Detroit and I drafted Guyton. It did not take genius, as Mickey, Eatman, and all the rest seem to be implying.

I then took that extra pick and, not always, took Beebe. Sometimes I took the OT Paul from Houston, since I think we could use a replacement for Steele too, but ya can't have everything.

From where I sit, I see nothing that the Cowboys have done that elevates them above the Niners, Packers, Lions (in fact we might have helped the Lions get better). Seattle and the Rams are nipping at our heals.

The Redskins only need a QB. If they hit then they will give us a hard time. The only thing that might push us past the Redskins is that he's a rookie.

We could have had the first ten picks in round one and still not elevated this team above the Niners!

I like to go to different NFL team websites just to get a feel for how they do things. I know the Patriots have been on a slide since Brady left, but look at the difference in culture?

Look at how Robert Kraft, their GM, their coach, stay out of the spotlight. You hardly even know they are around. Very little fanfare. Very little hoopla.

Just business. No self-promotion for the GM or owner. I have no doubt that IF the Pats hit on Maye they will soon be a force in the NFL again.

They look like a team that's screwed for awhile to me. They'll be holding down last place for quite a few seasons in that division.

Still don't understand the RB thing, but basically they screwed that up be turning down that end of the round trade last night where they could have moved from 87-95 and picked up a 4th. Huge run on RB's happened before we ever went on the clock with the 174th pick. Then there was another late run that wiped the board out.

That said, for the most part I liked the guys we actually did pick today. The CB and OT (probably moving inside to G) in particular had fairly high ratings for where we got them (Carson was rated as a 3rd/4th guy and def has upside, Thomas was rated as a 4th/5th rounder by most. Huge LT with long arms and huge hands, may end up at G but his school has producer several quality NFL OL in recent years). The WR has some real physical talent, good p[roduction and reputation as exceptionally hard worker. He was rated as a 6th. The NT we drafted from Auburn was rated a 7th/PFA type guy, ut he huge and fairly strong, doesnt have any pass rush potential but he almost cant be moved off the LOS.

Only thing Jerry said all draft week that I actually think is a little funny (and somewhat intelligent)
