On what basis would other teams want Lance so badly? What did he show in games that would put him ahead of Mac and Fields? I submit not a dam thing. It's really not that hard.
Nobody wanted Fields. Nobody. Mac Jones, basically the same deal as Fields. Nobody wanted him.
At least two other teams were trying to trade for Lance when we did, and those two known teams were AFC Teams.
That said, yes I do believe the Jones' got wind of what was going on in Prescott's personal life, and I do think that played a part.
Also, while I'm at it. Ian Rapport reports that 4 teams were in the mix for Mac Jones. Although Jonathon Jones reported that there was only one offer, so it's a matter of who to believe. It's really not that hard.

Why would you believe that other teams made serious bids for Lance, but not that? And you believe that?
The Lance trade stuff was widely reported, and by many different reporters (league guys and team reporters for the different teams involved). We also know from draft reports last yr the Vikings were actively trying to get Lance. Why would you believe that other teams made serious bids for Lance, but not that?
I get a kick out of people that think "practice" today means anything at all, especially to guys with the experience and talent of someone like Tyron Smith.I get a kick out of talking heads saying, "Well, unless the Jets can call Britt Brown and McCarthy to find out how to manage Tyron Smith, he's going to struggle."
Uhm...couldn't the Jets just ask Tyron Smith?
"nowhere near what Jerry gave up"On what basis would other teams want Lance so badly? What did he show in games that would put him ahead of Mac and Fields? I submit not a dam thing.
One of those other teams was my Bills. We can assume that they did not offer a 4th. Other teams that had interest were the Ravens and Lions. Again, only the Cowboys were "aggressive" and STUPID enough to offer a 4th.
A quick Google search revealed that the other teams' offers were nowhere near what Jerry gave up. The articles do not state what they precisely offered, but it is clear that they were not even close.
By the way, the Ravens and Lions showed interest, but did not make an actual offer. They only talked. The Bills were the only team to do so other than the Cowboys.
