Here's what we need, but as of today, McCarthy is still HC, so I don't think he will be fired.

I don't care that Belichick will go out of his way not to answer a reporter's questions.80 percent of reporter questions are either dumb as fuck or not even posed as a question. They pose statements. At least half the time the so-called questions are a result of some imaginary world that the reporter concocted in his or her head, like Skip Bayless always does.

lol, they cant even be bothered to re-arrange the deck chairs on the Titanic anymore (not that it would matter)

Its one thing to lose a close game to a good team but to get your doors blown off by a team that squeaked into the playoffs and then say the team wasn't prepared and be shocked at the outcome not only speaks to the level of incompetence and arrogance at the top, it shows how utterly devoid they are of being able to assess where the team is in an accurate, rational & constructive way so the team can be as prepared as possible.

No competent GM or coach would ever be shocked by the outcome of that game. They would have seen the potential weaknesses and had their team prepared and on pins and needles for every possible concern before the game ever started.

But thats what you get when the only thing the GM brings to the table is hubris

Here is the full statement from Jones:

"I believe this team is very close and capable of achieving our ultimate goals and the best step forward for us will be with Mike McCarthy as our head coach. There is great benefit to continuing the team's progress under Mike's leadership as our head coach. Specifically, there are many layers of success that have occurred this season as a result of Mike's approach to leading the team, both with individual players and with our team collectively. Mike has the highest regular season winning percentage of any head coach in Cowboys history and we will dedicate ourselves, in partnership with him, to translating that into reaching our post season goals. Certainly, Mike's career has demonstrated postseason success at a high level, and we have great confidence that can continue.
Further, our loss on Sunday is shared by everyone here, not just Coach McCarthy. Our players. Our coaches. Our front office. Myself. There is accountability for our results. I am accountable for our results. The lens we use to view and evaluate Coach McCarthy is holistic. While we're all disappointed with the result on Sunday and with our playoff record, I am 100 percent supportive of him as our head coach and ability to reach our goals.
We will start our process of review and decision making regarding everything that impacts our team and roster and, while we're not going to address specific players and extensions or free agents at this point, it deserves our deepest review and consideration, and it will get it."

My Pride in the Dallas Cowboys in the 70's and 90's was because of Conference Championships, and, Super Bowl victories and appearances.

There is Nothing for me to take pride in, in simply winning Regular Seasons.

It’s official

Adam Schefter is reporting that the Cowboys have decided NOT to make a HC change and that MM will be returning for the 2024 season.
WTF, so McCarthy is a lame duck coach. That doesn't' seem right. And on top of McCarthy being lame duck, there is the Dak contract problem.

More than likely, Quinn will leave. if he waits too long, he'll lose his demand. Micah is FRIGGIN GREAT, but if they don't start protecting him by putting him at LB, instead of DE, then I don't know how far into his second contract he'll continue to be great.

Here's what will happen next season. The Cowboys will not even make the playoffs. Bookmark it.

The Commanders will get their QB (strong QB class) and Howell will become a valuable backup. They are in a draft position to improve their OL. They have 75 million in cap space. Currently the most in the NFL.

The Giants started to show some fight. They will also add players. They also have a good draft position.

The Eagles are in turmoil, but I think they will sort it out and be on our heels again.

You've got young teams in Detroit, Packers, Bucs, Seattle, Rams. Rams ave 44 million in cap space.

The Lions, who have a legit shot at the Superbowl, have 59 million, 6th most in the NFL.

Per overthecap.com, the Cowboys are (negative) -$16,091,660.

I get it. All this is funny money and the numbers can change with the stroke of a pen, BUt, we aren't in a great position and once again we have to rely on the draft gods, which can be cruel.

We also don't have many draft picks. SURE we will get a few comp picks. I have no idea how many, but so will other teams.

Jerry lives in La la Land! FUCK IT! I live in Houston. I'm becoming a Texans fan. They are 71 million under the cap with draft picks.

I'm honestly not convinced Quinn is leaving. I mean who could look at how this defense played in December and January and honestly believe he could lead an entire team in a winning way? There's just way too many quality coaching candidates out there. I don't think he gets hired as HC anywhere (but hope he does, because he flat out sux)

The worst part of that is, they already said yesterday if this happens then Jones will want him back as DC here.

Just asinine shit by the most fucked up owner/GM in the league.

Yep good for them.

Texans are a fun team to watch, they hired the right GM, hired the right coach and then nailed the draft this year.

They are going to stomp the shit out of this overrated fuck team next yr. Jerry will officially be 2nd fiddle to the Texans, and it aint going to be a 1 yr wonder thing either.

jerry is a fucking clown ass, red neck cousin kissing hick, water fountain-blocking, cheap whore connoisseur, football down syndrome intellect-having, liver cirrhosis poster boy, fake fuck two faced punk ass bitch

thankfully people like jimmy johnson, troy, emmitt, irvin, the doomsday defense, landry, etc will never be forgotten... because that was and will be the last time the cowboys win anything
