Well as I predicted, we lost. The only thing I missed on was the game itself was close on the scoreboard.
That ultimately is a little misleading, as we got three very fortunate turnovers and Lawrence had a few high throws to bail us out (in addition to two or three bad drops by their WR's), what we saw however was a pretty firm fucking ass beating. They completely dominated the LOS on both sides and the pass rush was again completely non-existent. The problem this week was in addition to never touching the QB, we didn't touch any RB's until they were a good 4-6 yards downfield and they consistently tore off chunks of 6-8-10 yards against this collection of fucking pussies.
This team is an utter fraud and I stand by my prediction after last weeks humiliating "win" that we won't win another game this year (regular season or postseason).
1) Prescott had a pretty good game, save one really awful, lousy stupid rookie like interception that ended up costing us 7pts. The pick 6 to end the game I really don't blame him for, he hit Noah Brown in the chest with it from what I saw. We were up 27-10 and cruising and Prescott's first pick definitely changed the game, but even after the defense wilted like the pussies they are and Jacksonville got the lead, Prescott responded by leading a TD drive to retake the lead at 34-31. 34 fucking points should win 100% of the time.
2) Run game was called a lot, but was not as effective in the 2nd half and there were far too many tackles for losses or no gain, including on our final drive of regulation when we needed one first down to ice the game and couldn't gain one damn net yard on the first two offensive plays. Jacksonville was missing their #1 overall pick DE from this year and they STILL had 7 tackles for loss and 3 sacks in the game. Championship teams don't do this. Everyone is up in arms about calling a pass on 3rd down of final series, but they had to get a first down and were not getting it via the run (or even coming close). It also got extremely irritating to see Moore call the same failed run play design over and over and over (the one with 3 WR's stacked way out wide and noted by the Olson during game)
3) I guess we now see why they were so desperate to add WR's. Brown blew the game with a horrible clank off his chest and Gallup literally couldn't get open against nobody CB's. I'm still surprised they didnt dress Hilton after they said he looked really good in practice this week. Not sure what the issue is with Jalen Tolbert, but it's obvious he is buried in the coaches doghouse as he was not even active again yesterday despite obvious WR problems. James Washington was active but I didn't notice him one time on the field.
4) What can you say about the defense other than it's a complete disgrace. Yesterday's game was very reminiscent of the Mike Nolan all time worst franchise defense of 2020. They couldn't stop the run, they couldn't stop the pas, they cant rush the passer a lick. They cant tackle anything. This defense is a complete fraud and I truly hope some sucker team hires Dan Quinn as a HC so he won't be here next year. They have not been good since the Vikings game, which is obviously a fluke at this point. The defense has now blown 14 and 17 point 2nd half leads against two mediocre teams in the span of just over a month. Yesterday they gave up season highs in points and yards. Fucking disgrace.
5) Micah Parsons has the same chance of winning defensive player of the year as I do now, which is ZERO. He had one sack and did make a nice hustle play to recover what should have been the GW fumble, but otherwise was completely invisible again and was washed out over and over and over vs the run. They've ruined this kid by playing him at DE so much, especially in the super light fronts they line up in that just entice teams to run the football.
6) We have unquestionably the worst safety group in the NFL vs the pass. These guys are almost NEVER in a position to make a play, even if they are responsible for the double team help. Kearse and Hooker are extremely slow in space, and adding LB Anthony Barr to the equation makes us even slower.
7) Team is getting decimated by injuries at the worst possible time, as it appears we have probably lost LVE for the season (and might be career ender this time). At one point yesterday it seemed a guy was helped off every series.
8) These guys are losers, period. It's what they've done for this disgrace of a run (which will now be 27 yrs) and I'm very close to just not wasting my time with this garbage anymore. Its fucking Groundhog Day the movie year after year after years with these clowns. Jerry and Spawn run this thing like morons and its clear the country club environment and attitude are encouraged and implanted from these two idiots. The team folds like a cheap tent every December and January.
