So reading between the lines here, sounds like Cowboys wanted some protection built in to deal and Gregory and agent balked.

They should have done this with Schultz. They instead played the game with Gregory and may lose. A DE is more valuable to the team that a TE who can't block....

Chandler Jones and Von Miller are both available, although I don't think Miller is a true DE

Doubt he is going to Denver now with them signing Gregory.

I bet he stays in LA now.

And I'm glad they got hosed for it. Players are in Dallas to make money. Period. Loyalty and winning are secondary. I would have liked to have seen Gregory for 1 more year to see if the D could build on last season. I might have even tagged Gregory instead of Shultz. Ugly....

Yeah I would not have tagged Gregory at all, although I do agree it would have been nice to see what he, DLaw and Parsons could do together with another season under Quinn.

Gregory has too many skeletons in the closet, I trust Schultz a lot more than him, and we know if Schultz is healthy what we will get for sure.

Gregory being practically invisible and actually making a couple dumbass plays to help the Niners win that playoff game is also still fresh on my mind.

i used to be a clowney fan but he's obv been a huge bust, especially compared to what his ceiling was supposed to be

i was listening to ted johnson (former patriots LB) on the radio. he used to do radio for the texans before coming back to boston radio. he also gave speeches at texans camp on diff topics on behalf of the team. he said that every member of the texans defense was engaged and listening to him, but clowney was not. also says that everything came easy to clowney all his life, and he does not have it upstairs to be consistently successful. also clowney is a 1-trick pony as far as his ability on the field
