Fragile and NFL LB dont go together.
could have been reviewed? On the Rams' first possession of the game, where they got the delay of game penalty, then the refs overturned it because McVeigh called a time out. That penalty should have stood, McVeigh didn't call the time out in time. The clock had reached zero.
Something about this play bothers me. The Rams were running a stunt, and they executed it pretty well, but it caught Looney completely off guard. Clearly, Donald intended to cross in front of Connor Williams hoping to draw him inside so the other DT could cross behind him and penetrate to William's left. Williams played this correctly. He passed Donald off to Looney. The problem is, Looney was not paying attention. Instead he was looking at the DT being blocked by Martin. The DT did a good job delaying his move until Looney committed to him. Then he cut behind Donald and tried to get around to Williams' left. But Williams got out there to block him, as he should. Looney was knocked off balance because he was not ready for Donald.
I do not see this as Williams' fault. This was on Looney all the way. Looney is the center. He needs to recognize this play by the Rams DL right away and he has to look for Donald coming around Williams. This is where the Cowboys will miss Frederick. Frederick rarely made mistakes like this. This is why center is such a vital position on the OL. He is the guy who is supposed to be calling the blocking schemes and seeing the twists and stunts.
Williams had a bad game, but this play was not his fault, at least not fully his fault.
could have been reviewed?
I like Looney, seems to be a great guy, the players love him, he’s funny as hell...
But the year he had to start the entire season in 2018 Dak was the 2nd highest sacked QB (58 fucking sacks) in the league behind Deshawn Watson (65)

COO Stephen Jones told @1053thefan that he thought some good football was played across the NFL yesterday, despite no preseason.
