The above came out yesterday, I don't think it's anything other than going through their typical motions for plans as usual.

I don't see them having a full season or starting on time, and honestly I won't be surprised if the season never happens.

If we do have a season, I bet its an abbreviated one similar to the 1982 strike season. Maybe they can get in half a season and not have divisional winners, rather just have the top 6 teams get in and seed that way.

Was listening to Moving The Chains on satellite today, and Kirwan and Ryan both are convinced the NFL will play in the fall, somehow. Neither of them was convinced it would be a full training camp and possibly with only one or even zero preseason games.
Honestly, I don't know if they know anything or not.
I mean I was only listening to them because I didn't want to go inside the grocery store with my wife.

I would think the draft order would just stay the same.

We're assuming we're still going to have this year's draft regardless. Then if there's no season, you just repeat the draft next year, same order?

Yea that’s what I’m thinking. As for this years draft, according to Goodell they plan on having the draft at the time time. It would all be done remotely.

if at all possible i rather see the NFL switch to a lottery method instead of repeating the draft order

If they skip the season, something like that might be considered.

I'd be shocked if they missed the entire season, but I'd be even more shocked if they had a full season in. 8 weeks sounds the most plausible to me as far as max that they'll get in.

The longer the Covid scare drags on, the worse it's looking for the season. I don't see any way we start camp on time in July which will set back the season. The greater concern is when a player tests positive, which some will, during the season. It's inevitable. It'll be a situation where the Player's Union gets involved and players will sit out but will still want to get paid. It's become the American way right now. Owners and players will dig in and it'll get ugly. Book it. This thing has dragged on for too long and the season will be toast.

No COVID posts allowed!!!!

Oh sorry, this isn't the Zone.

I think it's a very real possibility that this happens although I think the NFL will do everything possible to play. Possibly in empty stadiums with heavily structured and monitored logistics to-and-from games and practices.

Several states, like Texas and Arizona, have relaxed quarantine suggestions and have seen a huge spike in affected people. That does not bode well.

hate their fucking control freak censorship

Anyway, I think there will be no season or it will start and then have to stop at some point because of a covid break out resulting in a notable persons death but regardless, there wont be a full season and Super Bowl

thats my worthless prediction

I never thought for a second that we could protect the whole country from the virus. Unfortunately, it will have to run it's course, just like H1N1 that affected 60 million people and this one is supposed to be more contagious.
