A few observations from tonight’s game vs the Rams

Pollard is looking pretty good
Gallop looked pretty good

#11 just cut himself with that muffed punt

Mike White is pure shit! Still!

Jason Garrett is 0-2 in the new PI challenges

And just seeing Carrot Top on the sidelines just reminds me how much I hate him

Pollard and Gallup have looked impressive. And I can't say that without giving Dak a little credit as well. He's doing a better job of getting it to Gallup than I thought he did all last year.

And lest I get too far into a gametime post with all positives, White is indeed shit. And not even solid shit, either...

Dak will probably be the first signed of the three. Elliott will probably be the last. Not even sure he'll play this season.

Not in today's NFL. Running backs, whether you play or not, have a value that is in constant free fall. Speeding up once a year on their birthday. He simply cannot afford to not play.

I’m certainly good with it.

I wasn’t happy when they picked him, then he sat out the entire first year.

he was a smart pick (we just didn’t know it at the time)

I hate to admit it, but the front office took what looked like another blown 2nd round pick and they appear to have knocked this one out of the park!

I have to agree, this is the one thing jeri brings to the table and he should be rewarded by his players like Jalen did by giving the team a cap friendly deal

Zeke and or his agent is going too far considering his suspensions, constant trouble, potential for more and jeri having his back the entire time

not to mention when you play for the #1 brand on the planet, it affords you more income opportunities than anywhere else plus no state tax and cheap cost of living means you net more in Dallas than you would in other states making the same salary but people are too stupid to understand this concept and get hung up on appearances wanting to be the so called highest paid player

Re: Jaylon Smith. I was really mad about this pick. Didn't really see the upside of a #2 pick sitting out at least one and maybe two seasons. Add the fact that Jerry's team doctor supplied the prognosis the pick was based on, and I was not impressed.
I was wr---, wait, hang on.
I was not corre--' fuck.
Sonofabitch, Jerry & Company were right.
This kid plays out the contract, this is one the great stories ever in the NFL, not to mention for the Cowboys. Hell, it is no matter what.

Jaylon Smith becomes a great player for the Cowboys, appreciates what that is worth, shows that appreciation by getting a deal wrapped up that's good for both him and the team AND proves his worth by doing all of the above. The rest of those idjits need to be taking notes...

I am glad it worked out in the end but they still never should have drafted him as the 34th player in the draft. Great story, turning into a great player, but he could have been had later and there could be one other productive player on the roster. And I dont believe for one second that bull shit about Belichick drafting him at the end of the 2nd round. Does that sound like Belichick to you?

Here's my question: Are the two times he played through it in the past his two shitty seasons in Oakland? 'cause if they are, then I'd show a little more concern...

DallasCowboys.com's Mickey Spagnola reports Amari Cooper is dealing with an "intrinsic muscle strain" and not plantar fasciitis.

What the difference is, we don't know. Whatever it is, Cooper says he's played through it twice in the past. With 17 days to go until the opener, neither Cooper nor the team is betraying much concern.

You're right in regards to one aspect. It's a bad pick if we could have drafted him in a later round. But do you think he would have been there in the 3rd? I automatically assumed that they determined he would not be. I don't mind the pick because he was a top 5-10 talent. But if he was almost sure to be there in the 3rd round, then yes, it was a poor pick. But I was all for taking the risk.

HELL NO!

And if by chance he did plan to draft him at the end of the 2nd round, Belichik would have never released that info

Just more BS spin moo doubt originating from jeri and his sycophants

On one of the Cowboy podcast they mentioned that they talked to 3 GM’s around the league. One NFC GM said he would have taken Jaylon in the 4th, another said the 6th, and an AFC GM said he wasn’t even on their board at all.

Big Bill would only leak that info if it served his purposes somehow.

Zeke has supposedly been offered a deal that is set to make him the 2nd highest paid RB behind Gurley.

Let’s see if he takes it
