Fred is the best center in Cowboy history I dont think its debatable. Manders and Rafferty were nice players but not in Freds category. And its no coincidence that the line play has much improved since he basically became the new O Line coach FWIW.

Stepnoski was really good too, but I agree with you Fred is probably the best.

Fred is also incredibly smart and was responsible for all the linecalls. It's no surprise that the stats vs the blitz with and without him are what they are.

I know it's a longshot, but if he somehow returns this year even at 80% or so, it'd be a huge boost to the offense.
