Bingo. They're blaming it all on the Zeke suspension and a couple of injuries. Of course they never consider that it's football, and people will get hurt again this year -- quite possibly worse than this year. When's the last time we lost a truly key player to a season-ending injury? Sean Lee four years ago? Romo? We really haven't had multiple good players out the whole year like some teams. But seriously, they think 12-4 and 13-3 were real results and they were only a play or two away from winning it all. They haven't any suspicion they have a mediocre team with horrid coaching and terrible chemistry. Therefore they're going to just try to keep the roster static and double down yet again. Because Ginger is such a genius! Coach of the fucking YEAR!
Again, that's why their rationalization for 2015 pissed me off so much. Steve just comes out and says oh, Romo was hurt, nothing could be done, 1-11 without him was okay, we'll get 'em next year. Meanwhile the Eagles lose key players including their MVP QB, excellent LT, and MLB, and win the Superbowl.
