Right now, I would say a really big need is OT. Collins needs to move back to G, Cooper needs to go with Green and Bell.

We also need a #1 WR, and as much as I hate to say it, a replacement fot Jason Witten. LB depth should be a top priority, too.

7+ years into the Great Build and we've not only got cracks in the foundation we have holes in the walls everywhere.

Chuck Pagano of the Colts is fired.

Pagano in his 6 seasons, had three winning seasons, and three post season wins. He followed that up with two 8-8 seasons, and this final 4-12 season was the last draw. A guy with a better regular winning percentage, and three post season wins, and just one losing season gets fired, but we still keep Garrett.

So it looks like we're flipping a coin with Detroit for 19th/20th in the draft order. If we'd lost to the Eagles we'd have been 16th.

Congratulations Dallas Cowboys fans. You and Det. just received the lowest draft pick of any non-Playoff team!

(Can't say 16 is much better though...)

Edit - We pick 19th, Lions 20th. Our strength of schedule was the same as the Lions but our record against common opponents was worse.

Couldn't have done any better than about 15. Can't do any worse than about 20th. Not ideal, but not the end of the world.

The difference between a 15th pick and a19th pick could be the difference between a starter and a project player that you “hope” works out in the end

The meaningless win cost us three draft slots each round. Good going for the "you win no matter what" crowd who only wants the immediate endorphins of a win, any win. They lack the long term vision of knowing that the only thing that matters is winning the Super Bowl. In seasons where you aren't going to win it damn straight you should tank for a better pick. it's the smart, strategic thing to do, but the immediate satisfaction crowd lacks the intellect to understand this so they mock those who frighten them with their greater wisdom.

At 15 Jerry would probably gamble on a Project anyway hoping to hit the homerun.

No, not really. That's the difference between a 15 and a 3rd rounder. 15-19, roughly the same chance of success.

I'll agree that a 15 is better than 19, though. It's just not that big of difference.
