Am I remembering correctly, was McCoy the OC when Payton Manning was there and didn't Manning love the guy?

Wasn't that Gase? I can't remember what McCoy did before San Diego...

Edit, you were right I think, looks like he was at Denver in Manning's first year.

you know something, thinking about kickoffs.

the eagles linebacker came in and did it. we've seen heath do it.

why NOT use a guy who can tackle to do your kickoffs??? save your specialist for the onside stuff??

I agree 100%

Fuck off, Ben. Why can't people admit that Dak had a legitimately shitty game? He had the benefit of a good running game courtesy Morris, and Bell (while not great) held his own most of the game, so fuck the excuses. You wanna blame one of those picks on TWill? Fine, but the other two were flat out hideous and irresponsible. You guys seem to be saying that Dak can only succeed when every single complementary player is in place. That's bullshit. You gotta put your team on your back sometimes. No way we would have scored one measly TD in two straight games with Romo under center.

What would it take for Jerry to take notice that the fans have had enough? 40,000 fans rattling around in AT&T Stadium? 30,000? 20,000? Would that ever happen? I imagine that most Cowboys fans would sell their tickets to the visiting team's fans, in which case Jerry would still be happy.

His pocket isn't hurt because too many dumbasses bought his PSL's. As a result, most of the tickets are already purchased and the PSL holders have to buy them or forgo their massive PSL cost. That's why there are so many fans from other teams because the season ticket holders sell to recoup their costs.

The only way I see that kind of attendance is if beating the Cowboys becomes so mundane that even opposing fans don't want to attend.

jeri has absolutely zero pressure to change anything he's doing, he's got all the fuck you money he'll ever need and I think he hates the fans and loves telling us all to fuck off with how he runs the Cowboys

:lol

Dak didn't take a physical beating last night. Was he hit hard even once?

there was that hit they replayed early on when he got smacked by 2 eagles from each side.

but in terms of that game, it looked like wentz took way more of a beating than dak.

I just looked at the stats from last nights game and they were surprisingly not lopsided like I expected. Looks like turnovers and the eagles running game killed Dallas, is that what happened?

Yep.

Our defense actually played really good in the first half, save the opening drive of the game. Wentz completed his first few passes and then only had 1 completion the rest of the half I think.

The defense was absolutely ripped apart in the 2nd half though.

Our offense was pathetic. The OL was horrendous in pass protection for the 2nd straight week. Run blocking was actually improved over last week. Brandon Bell was better than Chaz Green was vs Atl, but I thought Lael Collins was pretty bad in pass protection.

This is the seventh time the Cowboys have had at least three losses by 20 or more points in the same season since Jones became owner and general manager in 1989. They missed the playoffs the previous six times it happened and posted just one winning record (2008). That team finished 9-7 but imploded from within by the end of the season because of turmoil.

In 1989, the Cowboys had three losses by at least 23 points on their way to a 1-15 mark. The Cowboys had three or more 20-plus point losses in each season from 2000-02 and in 2004.

The last time the Cowboys had four losses by 20 or more points came in 2004 when they finished 6-10 in Bill Parcells’ second season. They lost 41-20 to the Green Bay Packers, 26-3 to the Cincinnati Bengals, 49-21 to the Philadelphia Eagles and 30-10 to the Baltimore Ravens.

It obviously wasn't as bad as last week, but he did get hit a lot again and harassed quite a bit. The pass rush Philly applied certainly had a direct hand in 3 of the turnovers Prescott had, and maybe all 4. (I cant recall how much he was rushed on the first pick, although I do believe the ball was definitely tipped)

The pick on that long pass to Dez probably doesn't happen if he can step into the throw and really cut it loose as one example.

He should be thinking that way, but we know in the end he will probably buy into Garrett's endless list of excuses.

Knowing them they'll scapegoat the special teams coach or maybe the OL coach and keep everything else as-is because you know, Process.

what changed?

I see Morris ran for almost 100 yards at 5+ yards a carry

Morris ripped off 2 or 3 really nice runs early in the 2nd half. he had 43 yards at halftime and then got 30 or 40 on the first drive of the 2nd half.

As far as what changed, defensively NOTHING. They lined up in almost the exact same formation almost every play (basically only 6 guys in the box, with the other 5 guys spread out like it was a prevent defense almost) and the Eagles just kept gashing massive holes in them.
