no controversy or debate, Carolina flat out destroyed Arizona.

Carolina plays great defense, lots of talent on the D line, three linebackers that fly to the ball, and a shutdown corner. They have a power running game with a dangerous quarterback who turns no-name WR's into contributors.

I really hope we use the off-season to upgrade the defense and add another RB that can grind out games. Romo is most dangerous when he doesn't have to be.

They should go do two just for practice

Can you imagine what it must feel like to be a Carolina fan at that game right now? That is just something that we as Cowboy fans will never experience in this lifetime

We will never again be that dominant until Jerry dies and everything changes

Wow
Another Carolina INT as I'm typing this

I have a feeling that Carolina is going to do the same to Denver if not worse

Manning will throw at least three INT but they won't bench him because it's the last game of his career

It will be an embarrassing loss for Denver and Manning

So now we can add Carolina to the list of teams that have lapped the Cowboys twice in the last 20 years. We watch as other teams like this get good, compete for a Super Bowl, get bad again, then get good again while competing for another Super Bowl while we stick with "the process" and the "football guy with the 40 year old brain" and go nowhere with all day to get there.

So far, this year has been about as good as possible for sticking the knife in Jerry. Zimmer, who probably would have been the hire if Jerry had wised up and fired Garrett after the third 8-8, had a great year. Norv with him had a very good year developing a young QB. Phillips has had a great year. Even Chan Gailey had a great year with spare Fitzgerald in New York. Now Ware is going to the Superbowl.

I hope it all makes his Blue taste like horse piss.

he'll spin it in his drunk brain that he was right about those guys all along but gave into fan pressure so he'll be more determined than ever not to make that mistake again by firing Garrett

Yep, since Jimmy built such a great roster that the team could win a Super Bowl without him, a few franchises have come out of nowhere, gone to a Super Bowl, sunk to the bottom, and risen back to the Super Bowl...Carolina (John Fox and Ron Rivera) and Seattle (Mike Holmgren and Pete Carroll). Heck two teams changed regimes and remained competitive most years, Green Bay (Holmgren and McCarthy) and Pittsburgh (Cowher and Tomlin).

It's beyond pathetic now. Jerry has ruined the greatest franchise in sports yet Cowboy fans keep spending non-stop cash on the team so that moron thinks he's a success.

Goddammit.
Every word of this is gold plated truth.
I wish we were mediocre.

Not that anybody needed this point brought home.

Includes this year.
Head coaches in parentheses.

New England 7 times (Parcells,Belichik)
Denver 4 times (Shanahan,Fox,Kubiak)
Green Bay 3 times (Holmgren,McCarthy)
NYGiants 3 times (Fassell,Coughlin)
Pittsburgh 3 times (Cowher,Tomlin)
Seattle 3 times (Holmgren,Carroll)
Indy 2 times (Dungy,Caldwell)
St Louis 2 times (Vermeil,Martz)

Yeah. Even Arizona has gone to the Super Bowl, changed regimes and rosters, and returned to the NFC Championship.

But we're supposedly building something great here. Not a flash in the pan winner. A team that'll win "championships."

I know. I'm so glad we decided not to go for that quick Superbowl, but are building a dynasty instead.

We're going on a hell of a run when it finally starts.

When you add teams like Chicago that at least made it to the SB; and then add teams that at least made it to the Conference Championship game like the Jets, it really drives home the futility of the last 20 years.

Yeah doing that little bit of research turned up the Saints and Bucs winning one,and the Falcons,Cards and Titans all making the big show.
So,to recap;first 30 Super Bowls Dallas Cowboys part of around 27% of them(8 out of 30)
Last 20 Super Bowls, our flag or banner may have been present and Jerry World™ hosted one.

Interesting...

5. Top picks

In case you missed it: It's the first matchup of No. 1 overall picks. The 2011 draft is also the first draft to have its No. 1 (Cam) and No. 2 picks (Von Miller) face off in the Super Bowl. It's also the third straight year that the NFL's top-seeded playoff teams have reached the Super Bowl. It's good to be chalk!

lol @ a flashback to sdogo's straight from my blackberry post that Denver was torn between Dareus and Peterson @ #2 the night before the draft.

Also there's not a player in NFL draft history that I've been more wrong about than Cam Newton. I remember posting something to the effect of how Andrew Luck completely fucked Carolina by deciding to go back to school his senior year, leaving Carolina to have to draft Newton. I would've sworn Newton was going to be a bust of epic proportions.
