They've been playing home games at the U of Minnesota stadium the last two seasons, the metrodome got condemned and their new stadium will be ready next season and is home to Soup Bow 52.

And "laces out" is fundamental to the kicking game, has been for decades, and they even start teaching it in Pop Warner. It is incomprehensible to me the holder was allowed to continue doing that. Sure enough, the laces caught the shoe and you have a sharp hook.

Game was lost because a most basic fundamental was not coached. Lack of attention to detail can kill ya.

Because for the longer kick he got lucky, and hit the ball strictly below the laces. Each time I saw "laces in" I expected a hook, especially for the shorter kicks.

It's GOSPEL that laces in causes hooks.

That was actually a INSIDE hook, as the ball was on the outside hash. It hooked left because the kicker's foot hit the laces of the ball, and he was trying to get a little bit of hook anyway.
