So I'm watching Paxton Lynch as his pro day

A couple things are clear.

He needs to work on his footwork

This kid is HUGE or everyone else on the field are midgets.

Edit-They just said he was 6'7 so I guess he is just bigger than everyone else out there.

And the kids got an arm

But..... He is throwing most balls late and/or behind the receiver causing them to have to reach back to grab nearly every throw

I know it's blowing 25mph out there but he seems to be having trouble leading his receivers

I hate to see his receiver have to slow or wait a half step for the ball on each throw

I know he's got the arm so I don't know why he's having trouble hitting them in stride

But all in all I'd take him for sure. With a year or so to learn behind Romo he could be a star for us some day

He just flung a 70 yarder with the ease most QB's toss out a 20 yarder in 25mph wind. This kids arm is impressive

I've started watching, he's looked pretty good. Almost every throw I've seen has been on target despite the extreme wind.

He just threw one bomb 70 yds right on the nose, dude dropped it

I'm impressed

I would just like him to lead his receivers a little more

But the kids got an arm. No question there. Mayock just said that his arm would be in the top 5 of the entire NFL

I didn't see Wentz or Goff's pro day but I will say that Lynch impressed me

I wouldn't necessarily take him with the #4 overall pick but I would try to trade back into the late 1st round to take him if we can get good value for #4 and still get him

Got to chat with Leigh Steinberg before Paxton got going today. Told me the Cowboys, Eagles and Rams have shown the most interest thus far.

Trent Dilfer said Dallas got Hackenberg at top of third rd he'd be "the pick of the draft"

Have you guys heard of this German WR? I can't remember his name, but he's from a German football league and is something like 6'4" 225 and runs a sub 4.4. Pretty impressive. Worked out at Kent State's Pro Day or something.

after yesterday, we can probably forget about trading up into the 20-25 range of the 1st round for Lynch

I believe he's only played 3 years of American football. Based simply on his numbers though I might take a flyer on him with one of the 6th round comp picks

Probably have to move to 14 to get him if Rams can't get Wentz or Goff. Can't see them passing on Lynch at 15 now.

I won't be surprised at all if all three top QB's are gone in top 8

How stupid are CZers?

If they see Jon Gruden or Trent Dilfer say ANYTHING positive about a current Cowboy player, coach or draft prospect they will quote that blurb or play the video clips over and over and over, all the time singing the praises for how those two are true experts.

Fast forward to last two days. Dilfer says Hackenberg to Dallas would be "the pick of the draft" and today Gruden came out and said Connor Cook could be the top QB out of this draft. Now both Dilfer and Gruden are idiots who don't know anything, hacks, comical boneheads etc etc

Another option would be to trade down to 15 if Goff is there at 4 (he will almost certainly be there at 4). Then take Lynch at 15 while also picking up two 2nd round picks.
