We will lose to ATL, beat NO, loose to NE, beat NY, lose to Seattle and beat Philly again. So that will put us at 5-3 mid way thru the season when we start getting our players back from injury. I can live with that. Then we go 4-4 for the second half of the season and still make the playoffs just in time for Dez and Romo to come back

See guys.....

No worries
It's all good. Lmao

@RapSheet: Collarbones generally keep a player out 6-8 weeks. The #Cowboys haven't used their IR/designated-to-return spot. Tony Romo is a candidate.

good chance the season is fucked by the time he returns. if we still had Dez i'd be more optimistic.

What are the technicalities of short term and regular IR?

I thought I heard Troy say something about the short term being 4 weeks and the regular being 8 weeks. But if we put him on regular IR he can't come back before the 8 weeks even if he's healthy

Does that sound about right?

I'm just happy for the shitty win and mostly because we held Demarcus Murphy to 2 yards. So that makes 11 yards in two games for DM.

Last year after two games behind our line he had 230

I guess that answers the question if DM got all those yards last year or our O-line got them for him. I suppose it also answers the question that you can throw any RB behind our o-line and get decent production. 90 yards by committee two games in a row.

Not a bad way to save 21 million

I don't care about saving 21 million. I don't care about Murray. Our run game is ineffective any way you slice it. We couldn't pound it in from the 1 yard line on first down and all I keep hearing is that the line made Murray. Well, the line got Romo killed today and put the season in jeopardy.

Also, was it me or was that one of the worse 2 minute drills at the end of the first half. I mean, WTF?

Why? Brandon Weeden doesn't throw the ball down the field.

Our little dink and dunk game that we've been seeing lately from the O is probably better suited to him anyways.

That wasn't a two minute drill. That was a don't f¥ck it up drill

It was a collective whole between Murray and the O line. It took both to make it work so well last year. This team had continuity and an identity.

Losing Murray wasn't a a crippler to future success it was the contingency plan that followed that will now seriously come back to bite this team.

He was a QB in HS and college

It's the Cowboys' way. The lack of preparing for Romo's eventual successor, but thinking that they can grab any UDFA and plug him in at QB, because Romo was a UDFA.

The FO always has this team in crisis mode, and even that wouldn't be a problem if the Cowboys thrived, but often the results are disastrous.

Look to the Cardinals of last year. They rotated 3 QBs in place of Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald was a non-entity. They pulled through alright.

The coaching and execution on O just needs to get better. With or without Romo.

Hopefully the soon to be additions of McClain and Hardy can help keep the D's stoutness up.

Almost as bad as loosing Romo was the penalties we had. We gave up more yards in penalties on both sides of the ball than the Eagles had total offense.

We need to clean that shit up if we stand any chance of squeaking some wins off with all these injuries

And yet that's what the Red Headed Dolt almost did. Not a run to be seen to run some time off the clock. We got the benefit of a few Eagles penalties or Philly would have gotten the ball back with almost 1:40 left. Disgraceful coaching.

Obviously a bittersweet win, but getting a win anyway possible with Dez gone and losing Romo early in 2nd half is a plus, especially since its a road division win.

Plenty of stuff to clean up, but its obvious Bernadeau cannot be counted on as a starter. He was atrocious today.

Weeden actually threw the ball well, we'll see how he does when he has to do it for 60 minutes but with games coming up against the Falcons, Aints and Patsies he has a chance to get into a groove, none of these teams have very good defenses. Don't want to get my hopes up too high with him, but if the defense can stop the run and cover people the way they did today we have a chance to win at least 1 of these next 3. Getting Hardy, R McClain and Gregory back will be huge for the front 7 and especially the pass rush.

They probably need to take a serious look at C Michael this week and see what he might be able to add to the run game, and despite the fumble today I think they need to go to Escobar even more. He can get open and make some plays downfield, and is a mismatch for a lot of LB's and safeties.

Feel horrible about this Romo, but he sounds confident he will be back for most of the 2nd half of the season. I think he said postgame 8 weeks, which means he will miss 7 games. If we could go 3-4 or 4-3 (Falcons, at a terrible Saints team, Pats, Bye, at Giants, Seahawks, Eagles, at Bucs) w/o him I think that would have to be considered a resounding success and still leave us in good position to make a run for the postseason. I don't think any of the 3 other teams are a threat to run off a bunch of wins in a row and pull away from us while Romo is out.
