Browns, hands down the worst organization in the league, and its not even close.

A few yrs ago they used a 1st on Weeden and only gave him a couple of yrs. They used a 1st on that idiot Manziel last yr. Now they are apparently willing to trade a pair of decent firsts to get a guy who is a major project himself. Oh and the other first they had last yr is looking like a massive bust too (the CB Gilbert)

WOW! - CLE offers two 1st-round picks to TEN for No. 2 overall selection in Draft where they would take Marcus Mariota.

Who knows if trading up for Mariota would be smart or not, but I thought that Gilbert pick was terrible from the start. He was an athlete, but he never seemed like that great a player to me even in college. Seven overall seemed crazy.

Didnt they trade up to get Manziel too? I dont remember the details.

If so, wonder what the ultimate tally is the past few yrs for them with picks invested on QB's

If we don't get one at 27 (or shortly after via trade down) then this guy at 60 I think would be really solid for us too.

Yeldon in the second is a reach. If we just have to go RB in the second, trade up and get Ajayi, or trade down and take Yeldon.

our score is: 6380 (GRADE: A-)

Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 27: Shane Ray, DE/OLB, Missouri (A-)
Round 2 Pick 28: D.J. Humphries, OT, Florida (A+)
Round 3 Pick 27: T.J. Yeldon, RB, Alabama (A+)
Round 4 Pick 28: Justin Hardy, WR, East Carolina (A+)
Round 5 Pick 27: Gerod Holliman, FS, Louisville (B)
Round 7 Pick 19: Quandre Diggs, CB, Texas (B-)
Round 7 Pick 26: Louis Trinca-Pasat, DT, Iowa (B+)

I would cream myself with those first 3 rounds.

KJ and DR would be significant upgrades for our secondary would they not?

I am about 99% sure KJ would start at CB over Carr from fairly early on (if not day one) and probably be a real improvement. At the least DR would play on nickel and dime downs and get Church either off the field or at least UP the field closer to the LOS (maybe a nickel/dime LB role) on obvious pass downs.

I don't think he is much of a reach (if any) where we draft in the 2nd.

He may not even be available for us at 60 when all is said and done.

LOL..now dbair is defending fictional Cowboy draft picks.

That's absolutely not certain. What is certain is that we we need pass rush help WAY more than CB help. You put Rodgers on his back a couple of times in that playoff game, and that game isn't even close. And, no, I'm not convinced Randall is worth a shit. I'm also not convinced Johnson is value at 27. Just because they are upgrades don't mean you should reach on them.

Yeah, because Mayock is known to be so spot on. Well done, Sparky.

Its not that I think he is spot on, he just doesn't seem to agree with you about KJ, Randall, Yeldon or Ajayi

We definitely need pass rush help, there is no debate about that. We need a long term plan for DE too because Hardy only has a 1yr deal and Mincey is in his last yr. Lawrence I think will pan out but we need others.

The CB spot sux too though. Scandrick is a solid player but hardly ever makes plays. Carr has been pretty bad for two seasons and is vastly overpaid. Claiborne is done here. Tyler Patmon is an interesting guy as a 3rd/4th CB, not sure what Corey White brings to the table but its a pretty sure thing to me that right now, we have one legit starting CB here because I think Carr is a post 6-1 cut. Even if he isn't, he should have legit comp in training camp for his job.

I watched it a few nights ago, you have been on him a long time. I see reasons to be interested for sure.

Hadnt bothered to look at him (or Gregory) because I had assumed until a few days ago we had a chance for neither one. Looks like one (or both) might make it to our pick now though.

He's thin but he doesn't appear to be "weak". Looks like he delivers a real jolt when he hits people.

Kinda reminds me of Charles Haley when he first came in NFL. He was tall and kind of lanky. Haley played in the Niners 3-4 defense when he came in the league but of course moved permanently to DE when we traded for him.
