Really like Tevin Coleman a lot.

Still think TJ Yeldon will make a really solid pro, and while not many talk about him (other than maybe CMD) I think USC's Javorious Allen will end up being a really good, solid dependable RB.

You like Coleman more than Ajayi?

Or even Yeldon for that matter.

Now, Brugler is saying that it was medical revisits from teams. Most likely smokescreens to get him pushed back further in the draft.
That was my first thought after I saw Burkhardt's tweet and re-read Brugler's tweet.

I do like Coleman more yeah.

I don't know that I like Yeldon "more" than Ajayi, but I've seen him play a ton and a lot of it was against really good competition.

I think realistically, all things compared between talent and where we could get them, etc.... Yeldon is my favorite back in this draft.

@BuckyBrooks: Vet NFC scout told me Northern Iowa's David Johnson, USC's Buck Allen & South Carolina's Mike Davis as the "hidden gems" in '15 RB class

I'm definitely on the Buck Allen bandwagon if we dont get a RB earlier.

David Johnson is interesting and he has great hands as a receiver out of the backfield.

Mike Davis was really good in the SEC prior to this past season.

Random..Andrus Peat was at our spring game today. His brother Cassius, a Michigan State recruit, was there too. They are close friends with one of our players.

@TonyPauline: I'm told it was the Dallas Cowboys who flagged Shane Ray as needing foot surgery but not all teams are convinced the procedure is needed.

Maybe our attempt at getting Ray to slide down within range for a possible trade up...?

One of the fastest running backs in the NFL draft, Purdue running back Akeem Hunt is ascending on draft boards due to his ability as a home-run hitter who finishes off runs, Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports.

Hunt has visited the New York Giants, according to a league source, and the versatile runner has drawn interest from the Washington Redskins, Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, San Diego Chargers, Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs.

Hunt ran a 4.37 in the 40-yard dash at his Pro Day workout.

He had a 37.5-inch vertical leap, a 3.96 short shuttle and a 10-2 broad jump.

Hunt finished his career with over 4,600 all-purpose yards, ranking him among the top backs in Purdue history along with Kory Sheets and Mike Alstott.

Sources predicted that Hunt will be a third to fourth-round draft pick.

Hunt caught every pass thrown to him during his Pro Day.

Hunt rushed for 949 yards and caught 48 passes last season for the Boilermakers.

@LRiddickESPN: Wonder if this were '14 again & AaronDonald97 & Leonard Williams were in the draft together, would anyone actually value Williams over AD...

Watching Grudens QB Camp featuring Winston and Mariota and it's hard not to like both guys.

I think both will have success in the league. Wish them well, unless Mariota ends up at Philly.

@samhnfl24: Don't see why some people are so high on Sean Mannion. It's laughable to rank him ahead of Petty, Hundley and Grayson among others imo..

Reggie McKenzie: Raiders have taken some calls about No. 4 pick

Posted by Darin Gantt on April 25, 2015, 5:06 PM EDT

AP
The Raiders have a young quarterback they like at the moment (and haven’t ruined yet), so they have some options when Thursday rolls around, when they’re on the clock with the fourth overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

One of those options is not using the fourth pick at all.

Via Scott Bair of CSNBayArea.com, Raiders General Manager Reggie McKenzie said he has taken some calls about the availability of his choice.

“My phone line is always open,” McKenzie said. “You hear everybody out. If it makes sense and it’s going to help the Raiders, we’ll do a deal.”

Again, the Raiders have multiple needs, though getting one of the top wide receivers makes a lot of sense, giving second-year quarterback Derek Carr a better chance to progress.

But if they decide they can find help deeper in the first round, and add assets, it might be the prudent play to buy in bulk.

Or at least create the impression that’s what you want to do, in an effort to make the phone ring more often.
