Detroit picked up DT Caraun Reid, which is a player the Cowboys could have used.

Philadelphia picked up S Ed Reynolds, a FS type which is good value in this round. Yet another player the Cowboys could have used at a position of need.

Street is a good player. Value where we got him.

Wont surprise me at all if he's our #3 guy at some point this year.

Yeah what the fuck were Cowboys doing drafting a top end OL, top end pass rusher and value 3rd WR

All those were wasted picks. Probably didn't get shit for this year. We shouldn't have even participated.

These picks are not mutually exclusive. Why are you acting like they are? I am pointing out the type of players smart teams draft instead of FA LBs in the fourth like we pick.

It's one thing to support a team, but it's another to wear blinders. You are almost as bad as Mickey.

Nobody in this forum melted down like I did about the 4th rd pick, so shut the fuck up with the "mickey" shit.

But the fact is the other 3 picks were good IMO (and the opinion of most) and will almost assuredly help the team this yr and beyond.

The point that you fail to acknowledge is that they needlessly gave up another starter again that they didn't need to. And they still could have had their pass rusher, along with a bevy of starting guards who can be found in the middle rounds to help the OL. Hence the blinders comment.

You are getting emotional so I will let you cool off.

Trading up was a little shortsighted but I like the potential of Lawrence.

The 4th round reach was colossally stupid.

In truth, we have added 3 players that will help this team.

One in free agency (Melton).

Mincey and McClain are JAGS. Weeden is a non-factor. Subtract Ware and Hatcher and we are not really improving much from last year's squad.

Meanwhile, teams like San Francisco and Denver are killing it this offseason.

There's something about this time of year that makes David lose his fucking mind. How many times does Jerry have to pull the football away before the homers learn?

Don't think it's been a bad draft and I'm far from a homer
It started great and has gradually gone down hill.

Martin will be good, Lawrence could be a player. But since then? Eh. Maybe Street makes the team.

That Hitchens guy was an epic reach that basically is around to give the Cameron Lawrences of this roster some competition.

That pick alone took a massive smelly greasy dump over the whole draft. It was unnecessary and was a gigantic buzzkill.

Hitchens is a perfect example of exactly what's wrong with this Front Office.

Jerry wants to outsmart everyone because he believes he is some kind of football savant. The problem is that there is no real accountability when these decisions go bad, over and over again.

There is too big of a fanbase that buys into the Jerry is a genius hype and cheer him or high five him every time they see him. Plus, the money aspect. In his mind, he's a success and the football failures are just bad luck.

It's not Jerry.

He didn't know who this kid was until today and he probably still doesn't know who he is.

This was a scouting pick, a bone thrown to the likes of McClay.

Jerry's mission statement to his scouts is to find guys no one is talking about.

If McClay is responsible for this pick I hope he's held accountable when Hitchens flames out. That was as big a reach as Matt Johnson was.

I don't believe in Lawrence. At all. And the kind of production we'd have to see from him to justify two (relatively high) draft picks is, imo, farfetched.

All we have heard all offseason was that he's a grinder, he leaves no stones unturned.

Well, he turned these over.

He looks like crap against mediocre talent in the films posted at the zone. We need to try him at LB. He will never make it at RDE.
