Da'Rick Rogers is being honored at Tennessee Tech's Senior Day. The school announced he will enter the NFL draft this year.

Extremely talented receiver with a 10 cent head.

Nick Saban says D.J. Fluker will probably enter the 2013 NFL draft
Posted by Michael David Smith on November 16, 2012, 7:31 PM EST

Getty ImagesAlabama coach Nick Saban attended this year’s NFL draft and saw five of his players go in the first 35 picks. Next year NFL teams are likely to take a similar haul of talent from Saban’s roster.

Our friends at College Football Talk pass along the word that Saban said on his weekly radio show that junior offensive tackle D.J. Fluker is “a guy who’s probably going to go out for the draft.”

The 6-foot-6, 335-pound Fluker looks like he’s ready to step onto an NFL field right now, and if he decides to declare for the 2013 NFL draft, then Alabama’s offensive line could have as many as three first-round draft picks in April. One of the starting guards, Chance Warmack, is a lock to be a first-round pick, and the other starting guard, Barrett Jones, may be a first-round pick as well. Fluker isn’t a sure thing to go in the first round, but the fact that Saban thinks he’ll leave suggests that he may have been told that Fluker will get a high grade from the NFL’s draft advisory board.

Another Alabama junior, cornerback Dee Milliner, could be the first cornerback off the board in April, and two players on Alabama’s front seven, defensive tackle Jesse Williams and linebacker C.J. Mosley, look like they could be first-round picks as well. Amazing as it is, Alabama could provide even more talent in the 2013 NFL draft than it did in the 2012 NFL draft.

#Cal junior WR Keenan Allen will bypass his senior season and enter the NFL draft. No surprise, as he should be a first-round pick.

Marucs Lattimore enters NFL draft, may miss rookie year

Posted by Michael David Smith on December 10, 2012, 12:23 PM EST

Marcus Lattimore, a South Carolina running back who has first-round talent but is coming off an injury so serious he might not be sidelined for a year or more, has decided to enter the 2013 NFL draft.

Lattimore thinks rehabbing with NFL team doctors is the best way to recover, a source told ESPN’s Joe Schad, and that’s the biggest reason he has decided that now is the time to go pro.

However, Lattimore may have to sit out his entire rookie season while recovering. Although some players, most notably Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, have suffered a torn ACL at the end of one season and returned in time to play well at the start of the next season, not all torn ACLs are created equal. And Lattimore’s injury seems to be serious enough that it’s no sure thing he’ll be ready to play at any point in 2013.

That injury — combined with the fact that Lattimore previously had a torn ACL in his other knee — will surely make his draft stock slip. But even if he’s making nothing more than the league minimum while doing nothing more than rehabbing his knee at an NFL team facility in 2013, that’s still better than making zero while doing nothing more than rehabbing his knee at South Carolina in 2013.

Mods worth a shit would constantly update the first post in this thread, instead of making us labor through post after post.

He's like Marion Barber with speed. He wants contact but he can actually run away from defenders.
