IRVING – Tony Romo’s back surgery was obviously a hot topic in the Dallas Cowboys locker room Friday afternoon.
While most players had little to say, Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant and Romo’s good friend, Jason Witten shared their thoughts.
“I feel for him,” Bryant said. “Tony’s my guy. He will always be. I want him to hurry up and get well. I hope he has a speedy recovery, which I know he [will]. And we’re going to try to get this W for him.”
Witten, who has played with Romo since they were both rookies in 2003,
“For me personally, you share a commitment with somebody like that for over a decade, you pour a lot into it and for him to really put our team in this situation, you’d give anything for him to be there, but this is pro football,” Witten said. “These things come up, and obviously we need him to get healthy for next season.”
