Has the asshole ever called a QB sneak when it's like 3rd and half-a yard? Where all Romo has to do is just fall forward.

I don't think so. Drives me crazy, too. Must not be in the Zampese playbook. Remember how one of the first things Switzer did was put in the QB sneak?

And no to trick plays. Well, I guess motioning Miles into the backfield and tossing him the ball like he's a tailback on 3rd and 2 was tricky.

This is Broaddus take on the matter.

On to the head coaching situation, does Garrett need to make the playoffs to keep his job?

I think he has all along. I know the general manager/owner came out and said he was safe. Even if you listen to the owner talk the last several weeks since then, the stance has softened. They realize the division if there for the taking and you have to find a way to do it. Jason Garrett has had two seasons – the Giants game two seasons ago and the Redskins game last year – to get this team in the playoffs, to win the division. He hasn’t been successful. I don’t see how the general manager/owner could stand there and say, ‘ok we’ll bring you back’ if this team doesn’t get into the playoffs. I don’t believe that’s the case. I’ve never believed that’s the case. It’s a bottom line business.

As healthy as this team has been all year, if he can’t complete the mission then they’ll find someone who will. Garrett has to get this team in the playoffs or he’ll be looking for a job. That’s the way the National Football League is. Garrett knows it.

Does Garrett have to win a playoff game as well?

I think if he gets the team into the playoffs it would be a home game because they’d likely be the division winner. It depends on who you play. I’ve watched some of Carolina and they play great defense. Carolina, San Francisco. Who do they play? That’s what you have to see.

But if they do make the playoffs it will be deemed as an improvement and they’ll likely pick up the option and move onto next year.

LOL at dumbass Wade:

Wade Phillips: 'I have a lot to offer'

Updated: December 9, 2013, 6:59 PM ET
By Tania Ganguli | ESPN.com

HOUSTON -- Wade Phillips has been a head coach or interim head coach on five previous teams, most recently with the Dallas Cowboys. Now he is getting an audition to be a head coach once more over the Houston Texans' final three games.

"I think I have something to give," Phillips said. "I can go into all the stats and all that stuff, nobody wants to hear those. If you look at the record, I think I have a lot to offer as a head coach."

This interim time is different for Phillips than his previous interim week this season. That time Phillips was, as he put it, "keeping the seat warm" for Texans coach Gary Kubiak, who was out on doctor's orders after suffering a transient ischemic attack during halftime against the Indianapolis Colts.

Now, Phillips can put his own stamp on the team. He'll delegate more on defense. He fired special-teams coordinator Joe Marciano. And he'll influence the offense a little bit more.

When asked if offensive coordinator Rick Dennison would still call plays, Phillips didn't say yes, instead saying he was going to discuss that with Dennison on Monday afternoon.

Phillips was asked if he'd be willing to return as the Texans' defensive coordinator if not offered the head-coaching job.

"I would never say that," he said. "Because then they wouldn't hire you as the head coach."

He said he has been in touch with Kubiak since Friday when Texans owner Bob McNair fired him. He knows what it's like to be in that position, as Jason Garrett took over for Phillips with the Cowboys back in 2010.

"It affects you, obviously, but I've been a coach for a long time," Phillips said. "I was with the Oilers here when I believe we had the most wins in football the three previous years and we got fired. I know this, they fire good coaches, too. Gary or whoever good coaches are, they get fired sometimes, they go on to do well."

The Bears are all like "Yeah, Murrays gashing us, but he'll be injured in just a minute so lets just ride this out."
