I'd want to have a doctor look at a player before I dedicated $10M to him.
The decision to franchise Spencer is yet another swing and miss from this Front Office. They could have easily signed two players with the cap space designated to Spencer. On a roster like ours, that's the decision you can't afford to screw up.

Not many players you can point to on this team and saying they are meeting or exceeding expectations this year
Too many injuries. Too many waiver wire guys having to play too many snaps. Offense that's stuck in the mud. The coaching staff is utterly clueless.
About the only thing someone could point to and say has been better than expected would be the special teams. Dan Bailey and Dwayne Harris are both A+ players. Coverage units have been really solid with maybe one or two minor breakdowns.
