Manning's wasn't thrown into triple coverage with a wide open RB right in front of him.

Romo had a fucking unbelievable game. Right up until the point where he took a stupid sack and threw a really pathetic pick to seal our doom.
It wasn't a worse decision than Romo's throw. But it was a fucking terrible throw and he didn't have anyone within 2 yards of him. Romo's pick wasn't pathetic. It was a bad decision, but if he gets to step into his throw it's at worst an incompletion.

Above said, you score 48 pts and have 500+ yds at home, you should win going away too.

Its just hard to understand how Romo was so awesome for 57+ minutes, and then had two really absent minded plays to end it against a team he had owned all day.
How is it an absent minded play to escape the pocket and try to buy time when the rush is right in his face? Just cause Phillips shed his block and sacked Romo doesn't mean Romo made an absent-minded play.

Fuck anyone who blames Romo for this. 500+ yards, 5 TDs and 48 points should be enough to beat anyone. Even the best QB ever.
Still going through the thread (hilarious BTW), but amen to this. You score 48 points -- and all of those by the O, no defense or special teams scores -- 5 TDs, only 1 INT, and have almost 500 yards through three quarters... You weren't the reason we lost. You were the only reason we were in the game at all.

I think the defense plays like their 95 year old coach lives.

Shitting themselves and waiting for someone else to clean it up.

This is more about the Broncos offense hitting on all cylinders. In today's NFL, outstanding offense can't be stopped. That's how the rules are set up. It really isn't the fault of the defense. All defenses are little more than the Washington Generals against the top offenses.

Yep, exactly right. It makes me sick. It really is getting to be like a basketball game, where stops are the exception instead of the norm.

Or maybe like you said, the Generals... Just a prop for token resistance.

Burn in hell, Roger Goodell, Rich McKay, and any of you other selfish losers behind this crap.

Give me a fucking break. Sure funny Mannings line won't let him be touched, yet our guys have the ball with a chance to burn clock and win, but the offensive line forgets they're in a game.

.

If only our guys could hold like Manning's OL did and actually have it ignored 99% of the time

How about giving the QB a pocket to throw from like they were doing most of the day?

He had time on the sack play. He should have thrown it away.

And he shouldn't have thrown into triple coverage on the next play. He's a veteran and should know better.

Like I said Sheik, he was fucking unbelievable for 57 minutes. It wasn't just his best game ever, but one of the best games EVER for a QB period. But at the end of the game with a chance to win, he unfortunately reverted back to the Romo that cant win the big one.

Terrance Williams has a great feel for the game when it's not a situational moment.

Those extra yards got us into FG range you know. had he simply run right out of bounds, we'd have probably got another play or two off but would have had to gain those yards anyway.

I thought he had a really good game and is developing nicely.

I thought he had time to throw the ball away on the sack play, which would have been the smarter thing to do. I'm sure its hard for him to convince himself to do it sometimes with some of the amazing plays he has made by extending plays, but he took another sack similar to that earlier in the game and has a history of those. Throwing the ball away sometimes would also spare him being hit more.

He couldn't have thrown the ball away without escaping the pocket. You want a grounding call? He was trying to escape... after that, who knows what he would have done?

The Refs were not calling grounding yesterday...

2007: Who cares if Tony threw five picks in Buffalo? He put us in a position to win the game!

It's a long game and season. If he finished the game no one would give a shit. Week 5 and all. Fantasy numbers. The whole thing.

He has to take those sacks bc he had to squeeze every god damn point out of that game that he could. he had to scramble he had to hit tight windows and he Had to make every play.

For Peyton it was all on a silver platter. Romo had to find a play way too often. He's done it before, Sometimes he fucks it up and sometimes he comes through.
