I iz stupid I guess.

Your right the te and wr are not worth a shit.

I am coming around to your side, I think these guys suck too. We blew the draft, the team got worse and now I think I won't buy my tickets.

Thanks for the lessons, now I really does gots this cowboys figured out.[/
QUOTE]

Your homerism is clouding your vision. Most of us is saying that the players may be great, I hope they are. The positions they play is what sucks when it comes to team needs. If Romo is running for his life every play, they are useless. Also, their value will be limited because neither one of these guys will start. If Warford would have been the second pick, he would upgrade and start at a position on need.

Too risky with Lattimore. We already have Murray who can't stay on the field. It's got to be Randle or Taylor.. maybe Ellington.

Would trading a 3rd next yr net us a 4 and a 7 this yr? Or would it be 5 and 7 at best.

Next years picks normally valued a round later.

I saw a report this week that said Lattimore would be lucky to ever play again. The media has hyped him up as a feel good story, but the reality of the situation is that he doesn't have a good chance of a recovery.

what would we be giving away a thrre four?

which players are u after?

I dunno, just wondering because it would be nice to have an extra pick or two today.

Then again, maybe they have some free agent plans for between now and mini camp or training camp, making extra pick/s not as big a deal.

Broaddus said that they wanted more picks this year and was considering trading next year's picks to get them. That was his take a week or so ago, for what it's worth.

Can any of these OL still available come in and start day 1?

Maybe. There's a lot of examples from past drafts where late rd pick OL's -particular multi yr starters from big schools, come in and win a starting job. Wouldn't completely rule it out.

That said, I think we're going the free agent route for OL, and I hope it means we get Moore and Winston or Clabo. Combine that with Frederick, T Smith and 1 of whatever is left, and we have the makings of a decent OL.

Agree completely w Dan, offense was horrendous last year. Not sure why people don't remember that.

The offense as a whole was terrible and has been for a while. Piling up garbage yards without points is useless and even worse, not being able to make critical first downs or eat up the Time of Possession because the offense has not developed a run game (beyond "when we throw it long, it opens run lanes underneath"). The terrible part is all of the randomness. The Wait and See what the defense does - does not dictate or control anything. The first quarter has so much experimentation going on trying to test to see what the defense is doing that Dallas doesn't get much opportunity to score.

But all that being said, it is hard to argue that the team cannot pass the ball well. 40 times a game average for close to 300 per game. Romo and Witten bail them out constantly so its not like these passing plays are brilliant designs. And for a non WCO (I.e. Walsh's short pass for YAC), Dez and Miles had one third of their total yards after the catch. Miles only had 600 yard of pure receiving and Dez had around 400 yards after the catch. That is not an unstoppable offense and becomes a tenuous relaince to make effective gains much less score points.

One part of the passing game is great, but it disappears behind the rest of the underdeveloped and unused portions of the offense.

so what if we get someone who wants our pick desperately today in the fourth and then gives us a bunch? u have to go back right.

a number of teams have way too many picks today.

maybe someone will want barkley or nassib really bad.

would u do that trade.
