Wish jobberone or justbob were here to warn you guys against being negative about the team or it's former players.

Broaddus says Wilcox is always near the ball. What a welcomed change from one of our Safeties.

This has to be breaking Mid's heart.

He was thinking JJ Wilcox is the next Awansuh Ansah of the Mandingo Tribe.

Decent Safety play is more critical to our potential success than whether or not our 4th WR is any good.

Couple of things....

I'm a huge Dez homer. Always have been. But we heard the same thing last offseason... no corner cound contain him, etc. And while he was a barnstormer the last half of the year, he had a pretty quiet first half of the season. Still... can't help but drool at the prospects of what he could do...

I'd love to be wrong on Wilcox. Please let me be wrong and let us have a safety. But I'm not. Don't give a shit about him making plays when the story these OTA's is how off Orton has looked and how terrible the other quarterbacks have been.

Read that Ben Bass drove David Arkin into Murrays lap. Fuckin Arkin. Fuckin 4th rounders. But go Ben Bass, whoever you are.

Playing safety is just about being at the right place at the right time when the QB makes a horrible throw.

Rarely do you see a safety be in the position to time a perfect pass, just right, for an interception.

Especially with how wide open NFL offenses are today; defenses are forced to play their safeties in the deep half of the field.

What do you mean, 'one of our safeties'? It's been all of the safeties we've trotted out since about halfway through the 2005 season.

Yeah I think he's a steal where we got him at. Could definitely help us stretch the field more this year.

We've only had OTA's and two camps (rookie, and this one) but the reports on the rookies have been extremely positive so far...like what we are hearing on a daily basis from them.

Also liking what I am hearing about these DL's.

I'll wait until TC before I get any hopes up.

This happens every year.

Stephen Hodge was going to be a LB/S hybrid the likes of which we had never seen.
